Texas reopening

Gov. Greg Abbott gave permission this afternoon for every local stay-at-home order to expire this Thursday. He’s also reopening this Friday, May 1, retail stores, movie theaters, malls and restaurants, limiting the number of customers and staff to 25 percent of occupancy. Social distancing and masks advised but not required.

Barbershops, hair and nail salons, bars and gyms can reopen later, May 18, two weeks away dammit, as my hair and toenails grow longer and shaggier. But it’s good to be getting the hungry back to work, and to begin to save the small businesses that have survived so far.
