Austin’s murder spike

Homicide in Austin has been rising since the summer of 2019 when the leftist Dimocrat (however much they deny it) City Council authorized homeless camping anywhere inside the city. Suddenly, beggars galore.

Since then we’re hearing local tv news report three to four killings a week, Depends on where you live, of course. It seems worst in North and East Austin, the traditional (since the 1970s) territory for shootings and stabbings. And arson. So far the mini-rancho in the expensive Northwest has seen little trouble of any kind, save a spate of mailbox tamperings last fall. No tent cities, either.

It could be much worse:  “[Analysis found] a 75 percent increase in the homicide rate since 2015. For 2019 to 2020, FOX 7 Austin used population projection data from the City of Austin and found a 32 percent increase in rate. It is important to note there are still two months left in the year.”

  1. Yeah but how many of the so-called “victims” were fascists or racists or both?

  2. Mostly locals or newbies, I expect. Fighting over money, drugs or women, the usual.
