Wisconsin public employees union protestor

Jeez Louise, I thought the cartoon was a joke. Joke was on me, obviously. As for the cops, why are they standing by? Hey, they’re also in a union.

More from Peggy Noonan on how these “little guys” are self-destructing.

Via Instapundit, who wants these unions illegal. Not much chance of that. That mickey’s been slipped.

Teddy and the brothel

“While [Ted] Kennedy was in Santiago he made arrangements to ‘rent’ a brothel for an entire night. Kennedy allegedly invited one of the Embassy chauffeurs to participate in the night’s activities.”

A little item from the FBI’s 1961 files which Judicial Watch has uncovered. Will we see this one in the legacy media anytime soon? Um, I doubt it.

Watching the police

You may have heard, if you read Instapundit, a Tennessee professor of Constitutional law who is passionate on the subject, that some police departments are infuriated when private citizens videotape their officers on their jobs. Some people who refused to stop have been arrested and charged with various things.

Well, the computer age has come to the rescue of those who fear encounters with abusive police who might lie about what they do. Not that I think that most cops would do that, but it’s been documented that some have. The OpenWatch “cop recorder” is an app for the Android smart phone that not only lets you surreptitiously capture audio and video of an encounter with a police officer, but helps you post both annoymously to the Internet.

Down at the trough

seiupig…..Private industry unions long ago outlived their usefulness to all but the Democrat Party. Public “industry” unions have none and never did. But now we’re stuck with them.

….Theirs is one obesity problem the First Lady will not be tackling soon.

‘Get a little bloody’

What, a Massachusetts Democrat in Boston advocating union violence in the public employee pensions argument in Wisconsin and elsewhere? Doesn’t surprise me, actually. The “cause fascists” are always ready to crush dissent.

And, hey, some of the union thugs already are taking his advice.

ROTC still not welcome

They hiss and they jeer and they heckle, especially at Columbia U., where the Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell opposition to ROTC was just an excuse. Now there’s a big surprise.

Adios, Mee-fell

CaptureDear, old friend, journalist Michele Kay Schultz, 66, Mrs. C.’s best friend, whom the toddler Mr. B. always called mee-fell, passed away this morning after a long illness.

She was aptly called a “five-foot fireball” by journalism and political friends in her several obits. The angels will care for her now.
