Cuba Libre, Viva Trump

Bronco Bama’s little curtsy (better, I suppose, than a full bow) to the Castro regime is over. No more curtsies without reciprocity, thank you very much. Trump truth bombs, instead.

“For nearly six decades, the Cuban people have suffered under communist domination. To this day, Cuba is ruled by the same people who killed tens of thousands of their own citizens, who sought to spread their repressive and failed ideology throughout our hemisphere, and who once tried to host enemy nuclear weapons ninety miles from our shores. The Castro regime has shipped arms to North Korea, and fueled chaos in Venezuela. While imprisoning innocents, it has harbored cop killers, hijackers, and terrorists. It has supported human trafficking, forced labor, and exploitation all around the globe. This is the simple truth of the Castro regime. My administration will not hide from it, excuse it, or glamorize it. And we will never, ever be blind to it. We know what’s going on, and we remember what happened…

“The previous administration’s easing of restrictions on travel and trade does not help the Cuban people. They only enrich the Cuban regime. The profits from investment and tourism flow directly to the [Cuban] military. The regime takes the money and owns the industry. The outcome of [the] last administration’s executive action has been only more repression, and a move to crush the peaceful, democratic movement.”

Keeps the embassy in Havana for future negotiations. Respects Cuban sovereignty. But that’s all until the Castros are willing to do quid pro quo. See why the globalist, free trade, open borders, EU-loving establishment want to bring Trump down?

(P.S. The Austin daily will now have to renege on its lottery prize of a free trip to Cuba. Heh.)

Bronco’s shadow presidency

“Just days before Trump was due at a NATO summit. Obama was palling around with German Chancellor Angela Merkel (who ended up being Trump’s major foil on international affairs), and giving a speech to thousands of onlookers in Berlin…

“Just as Trump is getting serious on NATO and NAFTA, drawing ire from America’s northern neighbor, Obama shows up to demonstrate exactly where he stands on Trudeau: right next to him, holding hands, eating seafood.”

Bronco Bama is a creepy little mother. Probably our most corrupt president since Warren G. Harding, primarily because the Mediacrats looked the other way through eight long years.

UPDATE:  Following Trump’s meeting at the White House with South Korean President Moon, guess who’s visiting Moon in Seoul? You guessed it.

22,000 pages of federal regulations

The 22,000 pages of regulations in the Obama-era Dodd-Frank banking bill have throttled the economy, holding back growth. It has “cost $36 billion to comply with in the first six years, has choked competition in the banking industry, made banking more expensive, harmed economic growth and, to top it off, failed to make the banking system safer or end ‘too-big-to-fail.'”

But there’s hope in River City. In the form of the House Financial Choice Act, which would repeal Dodd-Frank’s pages and pages of regulations altogether.

“Unfortunately, Democrats in the Senate are determined to stop this bill in its tracks. What’s likely to emerge there will be a Dodd-Frank reform bill that is tepid enough to attract sufficient Democrats to overcome a filibuster. This is hardly enough, but at least the regulatory ball is moving in the right direction.”

Time to kill the filibuster?

Twenty-two thousand pages of regulations. Many scores of new bureaucrats to enforce them. This is why we elected Donald Trump to drain the swamp.

Famous But Incompetent protects Clinton

FBI Director Comey has once again proclaimed a non-existent “intent standard” as his reason for letting the Hildafelon and her amanuensis Abedin slide over their email scandal. Protecting the powerful, more like.

“Last night, President Trump tweeted this: ‘FBI Director Comey was the best thing that ever happened to Clinton in that he gave her a free pass for many bad deeds!'”

Tom Fitton of Judicial Watch: “Why is it he said that he needed to prove intent, when in fact all they really needed was gross negligence, which was proven beyond the shadow of a reasonable doubt, and he probably had the intent there anyway?”

So why is Trump letting Comey stay director of the FBI? Is he waiting until the phony Russia scandal blows over, so the firing won’t look like a coverup? Hopefully.

Because unless Clinton gets the full grand jury probe of her mischief, Famous But Incompetent is going to be forever tainted—just like Bronco’s DOJ already is. And Trump himself will be tainted as well.

Bronco’s payoffs

Those $400,000 speech fees for Bronco Bama? Clearly payoffs from the ruling class for his eight years of doing something we’re not likely to discover.

To the tune, so far, of $100,000 a year.

Outrage of the day

The left is all hot and bothered over Atty Gen. Sessions whining about some judge on an island in the Pacific.

While the right is exercised over some twit art professor painting Trump’s severed head.

Of the two, I’d think the head would get the most ink/air, if not a Secret Service investigation. It it was Barry’s or the Hildafelon’s head we’d all know about it and never hear the end of it. But that’s not the way it works with the Mediacrats.

No, no. The little island in the Pacific takes the palm.

Bronco Bama: Russian Stooge

“He reset with Russia shortly after its clash with Georgia in 2008. He concluded the New START agreement with Moscow that reduced our nuclear forces but not theirs. When candidate Mitt Romney warned about Russia in the 2012 campaign, Obama rejected him as a Cold War relic. The president then went on to forge an agreement with Russia’s ally Iran to allow it to preserve its nuclear program. During the red-line fiasco, he eagerly grasped a lifeline from Russia at the price of accepting its intervention in Syria. He never budged on giving Ukraine ‘lethal’ weapons to defend itself from Russian attack. Finally, Obama cut U.S. defense spending and cracked down on fossil fuels, a policy that Russia welcomed since its economy is dependent on high oil prices.”

The Dim insistence that Trump colluded with Putin is projection at best.
