No charges for murder frenzy

As J.D. says over at Mouth of the Brazos, this is no surprise. The Badge Gang protects its own whenever possible and, since the Democrat media is paying almost zero attention to Miriam Carey’s murder, it’s imminently possible.

“The 34-year-old mother from Stamford, Connecticut, was shot five times, once in the head, three times in the back and once in the arm, in the confrontation with authorities in Washington. The bullets all missed her 14-month-old child, who was in the back seat of her vehicle as officers repeatedly fired at it.”

I can’t help wondering if Miriam had been white, would her murder be ignored like this? I’ve seen black victims swept under the carpet before. At least the civil lawsuit against the badge gang is proceeding, so they still haven’t completely escaped retribution for this obvious murder of an unarmed woman.

Rockets over Israel

I expect it’s readily understandable that a student or researcher playing tennis when this Hamas rocket hit so close at the Weizmann Institute in Rehovat might not sleep so well from now on.

But, for the divesting Presbyterians and Methodists in the house, try meditating on that big chunk of metal in the foreground and imagine it landing on your Palestinian-lovin’ head. Maybe that will help you appreciate the Israeli bombing campaign.

Much better in my view than risking IDF lives to clean out the rat’s nest.

This is a new experience for central Israel (Rehovat is about 33 miles from Gaza, roughly 3 minutes by rocket) thanks to the increased range of the munitions supplied Hamas by Iran, Lurch’s and Wormtongue’s pretend partner in nuclear peace.

UPDATE: As usual, Washington looks ridiculous as it lectures Israelis with the pretense that both sides are at fault. We know Obamalot has no honor. Have the feds no brains at all anymore?

Thank Big Oil

Still able to buy gas for the vehicle and put groceries on your table in the continuing Democrat Depression? Thank Big Oil.

“The U.S. will remain the world’s biggest oil producer this year after overtaking Saudi Arabia and Russia as extraction of energy from shale rock spurs the nation’s economic recovery, Bank of America Corp. said….

“’The U.S. increase in supply is a very meaningful chunk of oil,’ Francisco Blanch, the bank’s head of commodities research, said…. ‘The shale boom is playing a key role in the U.S. recovery. If the U.S. didn’t have this energy supply, prices at the pump would be completely unaffordable.’”

The “nation’s economic recovery,” is a little economist’s joke, based on the statistical lies the feds tell. Ninety-two million Americans out of work is not a recovery.

Wormtongue may be the biggest liar we’ve ever had for a president. He’s certainly the most open, least inhibited, about it. But his notion that he’s a king who can rule by executive order is hardly new.

Indeed, it’s built into the system, according to conservative law professor F.H. Buckley. In a new book, he expands on what political scientist Juan Linz called The Perils of Presidentialism.

“While ‘an American is apt to think that his Constitution uniquely protects liberty,’ the truth ‘is almost exactly the reverse,’ says Buckley. “In a series of regressions using the Freedom House rankings, Buckley finds that ‘presidentialism is significantly and strongly correlated with less political freedom….Where parliamentary systems cleave off power from ceremony, presidential ones make the chief executive the living symbol of nationhood: the focal point of national hopes, dreams, fears—and occasionally fantasies.”

Starting with president-for-life FDR who vastly expanded the federal government, that’s how we got a Democrat bureaucracy which under Obamalot’s kingly direction has come to include an HHS that highhandedly created the birth control requirement Hobby Lobby sued over, and an IRS that punishes people who don’t toe the Democrat party’s line.

The master snoopers at NSA merely collect and archive our private emails in the name of fighting terrorism and will dispense them to who knows who for whatever reason. The IRS cracks the whip at our “elective monarch’s” whim.

“So sue me”

Peggy Noonan, the WSJ columnist who once wrote speeches for President Reagan and unabashedly campaigned in print for President Choom is now so disenchanted with him she’s calling his behavior “dangerous” for America.

“…I’m not sure people are noticing the sheer strangeness of how the president is responding to the lack of success around him. He once seemed a serious man. He wrote books, lectured on the Constitution. Now he seems unserious, frivolous, shallow. He hangs with celebrities, plays golf. His references to Congress are merely sarcastic: ‘So sue me.'”

Actually he didn’t write the one book that was praised. He lied about that. He wrote the other one, the boilerplate one, which matches his pedestrian speeches. And he’s sarcastic to the Republican House because he doesn’t know how to negotiate with anyone.

As a rich boy who qualified for Affirmative Action because of his skin color and African name, he never had to. On the other hand, the Republicans don’t have the nerve to actively stand up to him. Only passively.

It’s going to be right unpleasant waiting for the first black president of our hyper-racial society to finally leave the stage—stoned or otherwise. I’m guessing stoned to the eyeballs.

But dangerous? I doubt it. He’s too stupid to do anything but preen. And sneer.

Liberty? In your dreams

What is this land of the free business, anyhow? It’s not in the charter of the master snoops of the NSA who aren’t just collecting terrorist stuff but….

Be careful what you write in email, bud, especially if you ever plan to run for public office as anything but a Democrat. Orwell was just a few years early.

Like minds: Obama and Rodriguez

Officially, President Choom is coming to Austin next week to raise yet more money for his political party, which is seeking re-election despite intentional policies that are prolonging the worst economy since the 1930s.

Unofficially you have to wonder why the great champion of amnesty for illegal aliens (“reform,” don’t you know) would choose to do his begging in the home of filmmaker Robert Rodriquez. R. is best known for “Spy Kids,” a successful string of kiddie action-adventure movies starring his own children.

Well, it might have more to do with Rodriguez’s lesser-known series of super-violent Mexploitation flicks called Machete and Machete Kills which some reviewers consider racist and anti-American. These “revenge” flickers, which include such well known Leftists as Charlie Sheen and Mel Gibson, are unsubtle calls for revolution. They champion the slaying of Americans—in Arizona and elsewhere—who dare protest illegal immigration from south of the border.

Yep.

The Worm’s visit possibly has more to do with Rodriguez’s money than with his politics. The Mooch has expensive tastes, after all, and, as corrupt as the Democrat party is, some of those donations are bound to settle in her account. But you never know. It might be wise to keep an eye on the yard man. Those hedge trimmers are sharp.

UPDATE: Well… protests of illegals bused to one California town soon will be confronted by armed feds in riot gear. Obamalot will have its way.
