Barry’s reality vs his fantasy

If pols like Barry weren’t so busy stealing (and catering to their hysterical base) they might have time to come up with realistic solutions to massacres of defenseless school children.

They can pass all the gun laws they want, nothing will change. I’m sure they won’t be giving up their guns, or stop arming their security to the teeth. Probably a good idea. They certainly aren’t getting more popular.

Kerry, ugh

The lying scumbag, who slandered every soldier in Vietnam to Congress in 1972 to make his political bones, gets SecState.

As Ed Drsicoll says:

“If true, as I wrote the other day, the sixties are now complete: A president supported by an ex-Weatherman and the New Black Panthers might as well have a Winter Soldier in his cabinet for the complete Radical Chic Meets Geritol experience. If only Leonard Bernstein was still around to savor the moment.”

Conservatives brought these nitwits down once. They can do it again.

UPDATE:  It’s official. “Lurch” is the new SecState. It’s one of the least respectable positions in D.C., and that’s saying a lot. Seems to magnetically attract well-known liars like Hilary Clinton, whose various illnesses have kept her from testifying on how she lost an ambassador.

I wonder if Lurch will now produce his magic hat? The one the SF allegedly gave him on his fantasy foray into Cambodia all those years ago. How many ambassadors will Lurch lose? Wait and see.

Sugar Kills, part II

Federal disability check apparently tough to get

Well, if true, that’s a relief, of sorts. Hard on the people who actually qualify because the overpaid bureaucracy makes them jump through multiple documentation and appeal hoops—even if (or especially if) their condition rules out jumping at all.

I say “if true” because you never know with the media. Their prevarication and general laziness is renown. Meanwhile the bad news is “saved” until almost the end of the piece:

“Since 2009, the disability program has been paying out more than it collects. In 2011, total outlays were $128 billion, while the program’s revenues totaled about $94 billion.”

Barry’s “plan” to tax “the rich” will provide little more than a drop in this bottomless bucket. The free market economy could fix the bottom and fill the bucket if he and his party would stop with the tax hikes, the big spending and ever more regulation.

But they won’t. They like it when people are dependent. It’s how Democrats operate.

Our toxic society

Hard to imagine, someone murdering an entire kindergarten class. All those five-year-olds gunned down by a nut job. Insane. No wonder Barry teared up. I’ve been doing some of that myself.

Now for the usual old media blather about gun control, as if disarming the folks who didn’t do this would make a difference. Or banning violent video games and the violent movies produced by lefty Hollywood. Ours truly is a toxic culture and it’s only getting more so. Where would you begin?

Meanwhile, of course, there’ll be no serious conversation at all about arming a few teachers or staff in every school. Or reopening mental institutions. At least they could take down those stupid, stupid signs at the entrance about how “this campus is a gun-free zone.” It’s a pure invitation to mass murder.

Uncertainty is the only way to prevent this sort of thing. Make the gunman think twice that someone might kill him before he can murder. It’s always a male, isn’t it? When was the last time it was a woman? As if that mattered.

The Republicans vs. the European Party

“We have now an American political party and a European one. Not all Americans who vote for the European party want to become Europeans. But it doesn’t matter because that’s what they’re voting for. They’re voting for dependency, for lack of ambition, and for insolvency.”

Not to mention increased Muslim immigration and influence.

Worth a read, unless you’re on welfare or federal disability, in which case you will not be amused. Tough.

Thanks a bunch, chumps

“As reported by the national exit poll conducted by Edison Research, Americans aged 18 to 29 voted 60% to 36% for Barack Obama.

“Prior to Obama’s re-election, I believed that it was morally wrong for my generation to pass a crushing national debt on to the next one….With the president’s electoral crushing of Mitt Romney, my overriding sense of morality and guilt have vanished….”

Indeed. Good luck on your future, chumps. You voted for bigger government and now you’re going to pay higher payroll taxes for it.

Meanwhile, you struggle: “…with respect to median incomes [they] have dropped to $26,364, setting us all the way back to 1999.”

Keep looking for work in Barry’s pathetic economy. Don’t give up, now. And work hard, too. I don’t want my Social Security checks to be late.

My generation got old. Yours is the generation that got sold.
