Back in 2002 when American troops were dying in Afghanistan, GWB was criticized for golfing while the troops fought. Bush’s response? He gave up golf, saying:

“I don’t want some mom whose son may have recently died to see the commander-in-chief playing golf… I feel I owe it to the families to be in solidarity as best as I can with them. And I think playing golf during a war just sends the wrong message.”

These days Uncle Barry keeps right on golfing. The media is so much in the tank for him that he’s not criticized for that or much of anything else. So does he volunteer to give up golf on his own? Would Queen Michelle give up her expensive vacations?

Even the Dalai Lama prefers GWB.

Real scientists (as opposed to those corrupted by the federal dole) know the climate is far too complicated for any computer model yet devised to measure what’s happening today, let alone a hundred years in the future.

Like they say, GIGO:  garbage in, garbage out. So this is not a surprise:

“49 former NASA scientists and astronauts sent a letter to NASA Administrator Charles Bolden last week admonishing the agency for [its] role in advocating a high degree of certainty that man-made CO2 is a major cause of climate change while neglecting empirical evidence that calls the theory into question.”

Class warfare and racism are about all that Obamaloot has left to campaign on, especially if the Supremes quash Obamacare.

The racism (as in his sly pronouncement that the child Trayvon could be the son he never had) isn’t actually a distinct tactic but part of the class warfare.

Both are of a piece with Uncle Barry’s socialist aims, which amount to the old saw of divide and conquer. All of which has been brilliantly uncovered in a new, non-polemical book of classic investigative reporting by Stanley Kurtz.

Blame the military AND the media

Michael Yon correctly lays blame for the latest Afghanistan photo scandal on the soldier(s) who took the snapshots and made sure the Los Angeles Times got hold of them. Hard to fault that logic.

But Yon absolves the media in the fiasco, which is ridiculous. The LATimes didn’t have to use the photos. They knew the furor they would cause, especially in Afghanistan and the additional problems they would present for US policy there. But our modern media sheep (usually led by the NYTimes) have no sense of responsibility. And they never miss a chance to make our military look bad.
