As Althouse commenter Michelle Dulak Thomson says of Friday night’s (the beginning of Shabbat by the way) destructive spray-painting of vulgar and anti-Jewish language on more than two dozen homes and some of their vehicles:

“Sooooo … a vandal randomly attacking houses in Madison (pop. 233K+) just manages to hit the home of the president of the Jewish Federation of Madison, and also the house across the street? Forgive me for thinking this is roughly as ‘random’ as shooting up a ‘bunch of folks in some deli’ that just happens to be kosher…People, this isn’t random, and it isn’t anti-Zionism. It’s anti-Semitism, it’s virulent, and it’s evil.”

And it’s becoming more prevalent in Europe and in lefty college towns across the U.S. The Western world  just cannot let go of its favorite scapegoat.

Lyin’ Brian’s suspension could be permanent

“Williams has claimed since 2011—to David Letterman, among others—that he embedded with SEAL Team 6 multiple times and had developed such a close relationship that one of them gave him a piece of the downed chopper from the famous Osama Bin Laden raid.”

This is reminiscent of Lurch and his magic hat from his improbable riverboat raid into Cambodia. What is it with lefties and lying? Why do they feel the need to embellish their celebrity and, in Bri’s case, multi-million-dollar salary?

UPDATE:  One reason his cronies came down so hard on Lyin’ Brian is that, in getting caught, he exposed their own mendacity and threatened their already-shaky house of cards.

Not that you’ll be reading it that way from the usual snooze media reports. They have a vulnerable Muslim narrative to maintain and this won’t fit it.

So now they’ll be spinning as fast as they can to turn him into a Christian. A Tea Partier would be ideal. But a conservative Republican fundy will do. Stay tuned.

You’ll know they’ve succeeded when POTUS weighs in. 3-2-1…

UPDATE:  Finding nothing to promote the narrative, the story has dropped off the radar screen. The three Muslims are still dead, but a progressive killer just isn’t news.

MORE:  Here’s another reason for the news blackout: “One of the Chapel Hill shooting victim’s tweets reveal anti-Semitic, anti-white, anti-Israel, and anti-Zionist views.” The hed’s a little redundant. Anti-Zionist and anti-Israel are the same thing. But it’s far from an innocent Muslim victim profile.

The chopper whopper

The whole hullabaloo about NBC’s just-another-pretty-face talking head is a bit confusing. As a commenter I read somewhere I forget said in response to a post about why Lyin’ Brian would tell whoppers about his supposed war heroics:

“The question is not why he would feel compelled to lie but why he would ever feel compelled to tell the truth, in a business where lies pass for truth every day.”

Works for me. The only other idea I have is that he’s another Democrat wannabee, a fellow who despises the military and would never serve but who nevertheless wants to be thought tough and heroic. And so he phoned it in.

You know, like the Lizard Queen. Another Democrat who was under fire in her own mind, as you may remember.

Williams is what they called in the Civil War “a parlor soldier.” Or the 16th century commedia dell’arte stock type of the Italian theater known as Il Capitano (the braggart soldier). Neither of them were real soldiers. Like Bri.

He’s probably toast now. I mean when even Mad Cow Dowd is joining the pile-on…

Turning Iraq over to Iran

“In other words, the Iraqi army is integrating into Amiri’s [Iran-backed] Badr Organization in Diyala as opposed to integrating the militias into the army.”

Wormtongue isn’t satisfied with losing the Iraq campaign, a  move which spawned ISIS. Or with quietly giving Iran billions of American tax dollars. He wants the mullahs to have Iraq’s oil fields as well in his version of blood-for-oil.

What could go wrong?

Banning “Jihad” at Al Jiz

Looks like an Al Jiz story finally is going to get traction.

Make that a National Review story about Al Jazeera English, the Quatari network that is, as Breitbart News puts it “the proverbial tree in a forest no one hears fall.”

Until now. Al Jiz America has lately been leaking internal emails like the Titanic did seawater. A new one shows management has banned its reporters’ use of the words terrorist, Islamist and jihad in most cases.

Banning words is a characteristic of a third-rate news organization. Nice to have that cleared up.
