Anti-Semitism: the hatred that keeps on giving

Hebrew University scholar Robert Wistrich has written several books about Anti-Semitic Muslim terrorists such as the French-Algerian killer slain last week by the Toulouse police.

The English translation of Wistrich’s book, Muslim Anti-Semitism: A Clear and Present Danger is currently out-of-print. But his rather pricey history A Lethal Obsession: Anti-Semticism from Antiquity to the Global Jihad is available here. If you can’t afford the book, you can get a lot of its details from the reviews there.

He blames crimes like this week’s Jewish school massacre in Toulouse not only on the Islamization of Europe, but on the anti-Israel leftists who run European governments, newspapers and universities:

“The first thing to notice is that liberals and leftists usually try and reduce anti- Semitism to a purely right-wing anachronism or neo-Nazi phenomenon. In other words, they invariably ignore latent or overt racism in their own camp. Another method [they use] is to hold Israel responsible for any apparent increase in anti-Semitism, whether in the West or the Middle East. In other words, Israel is to blame, not the anti-Semites themselves.”

The quote is from this  interview in the Jerusalem Post which is worth a read.

UPDATE:  Let the whitewash begin.

How ’bout we assume he’s innocent until proven guilty

Whoa, now there’s a concept. Not that Army Staff Sergeant Robert Bales is getting access to it, at least not in the biased news media, or from our frequently-lying Muslim “ally” Hamid Karzai, the president of Afcrapistan.

I am impressed that Obozo is not piling on. Although it’s probably because he knows he’s about two ticks away from being blamed for the mass murder Bales allegedly committed, as Bush Jr. certainly would have been blamed by now by the same media and pundits who always rush to judgement. Especially if it’s about a soldier. And frequently get it wrong.

Where’s the benefit of the doubt they always give to the alleged Muslim murderers, like the clown who was convicted of will finally be tried in June for shooting up Fort Hood in 2009 in front of many witnesses? Oh, excuse me, Bales is a white guy.

As a former retired prosecutor friend puts it: “…until…all the facts come out (if they ever do) in the wash, I’m going to reserve my personal judgment as to whether this was a ‘coldly plotted execution of children and unarmed civilians,’ a good person having suddenly gone off the deep end as his brain short-circuited, or something in between.

“My experience has taught me that the third alternative is usually the most likely.”

At least we’ll have the judgement of a court, as provided by the Constitution and military law, rather than “progressive” bloggers, the editorial page and the talking-head circus.

UPDATE:  Some of Bales’ active-duty military colleagues also are calling for wait-and-see.

Beware Muslim judges, the American ones

If, that is, you have chosen to do what no American political comedian dares to do, i.e. mock the Prophet Mohammed.

Like this poor fellow in Pennsylvania. The self-identified Muslim-American judge let his Muslim attacker off and, instead, berated the victim in court. Smooth, yes?

Mock Jesus, sure, no problem. Moses? He’s all yours. The “edgy” American political comedians do them all the time. But Mohammed? Not on your life. Or theirs.

UPDATE:  Now the judge claims he’s a Lutheran. But he’s still bashing the victim. Can’t insult them Mooslems. No, sir.

Thirty pounds of cocaine found at the UN

Now we know their problem. They’re blinded by all the “snow”, obviously.

UPDATE:  Make that thirty-five pounds of cocaine, in hollowed-out text books, found in bags in the UN mail room.

Obozo and Mooch would rather par-tay

Incredibly, more than three months after at least one American combat soldier died unnecessarily and two months after the issue was first raised on the Net, wounded American troops in Afghanistan still are waiting longer than necessary for Medevac helicopters to arrive.

Because the Medevacs wear red crosses and, therefore, under Army policy cannot carry defensive guns. So the medical birds have to wait for gunships to escort them and, sometimes, the gunships are busy.

Would seem simple enough. Remove the red crosses, which only aggravate the Muslim enemy (not to mention the Muslim allies), and mount defensive guns and gunners.

Too hard for the modern Army to grasp, apparently. (Similar to their refusal to stop driving Humvees on mined roads in Iraq.) Even though, as war correspondent Michael Yon notes, our medics are not adorned with red crosses (as they were in World War II) and they do carry rifles.

Obozo, of course, could have already solved the Medevac problem with a phone call. But it seems he’s too busy playing golf, or else following Mooch and the children around for ice cream and so forth on their latest taxpayer-paid vacation. What a commander-in-chief, right? Yeah.

Why Iran won’t build nukes

Or so says Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, vice president and prime minister of the United Arab Emirates, because, despite the war drums getting louder and louder….

“What can Iran do with a nuclear weapon?” he asked rhetorically. “For example, will they hit Israel? How many Palestinians will die? And you think if Iran hits Israel, their cities will be safe? They will be gone the next day.”

Makes sense, as far as it goes, especially coming from someone whose country is just fifty miles across the Persian Gulf from Iran. But do the Persian Mullahs have any sense? They haven’t made much so far.

How radical is Obamalot?

We’re about to find out just how far the vacationer-in-chief will take his Leftist, pro-Muslim politics, now that urban, supposedly-sophisticated Egyptians have voted in the radical Islamists.

As Spengler puts it, Egypt is becoming a banana republic without the bananas. One that, indeed, cannot even feed itself.

And it would be, as he adds here, “an obscenity” for us to continue to supply arms to these religious fanatics. We’ll see whether Obamalot—which stupidly pulled the rug out from under our old ally Mubarak—has the decency to sever our military aid to this budding Somalia on the Nile.

Unlike Spengler, I wouldn’t be opposed to some food aid for the hungry—even knowing that the new Muslim Brotherhood kleptocracy would take most of it—but, please, no more M-1 tanks, M- and F-16s, spare parts, and other arms, shells and ammunition.

For our own, as well as for Israel’s sake, stop it all now.
