Comey the leaker

Rather astounding that, unprompted, Comey would admit to having leaked to the press details of a private conversation with the president. Moreover that, according to Trump’s personal lawyer, some of those details were classified.

That, to me, is the most (if not the only) salient takeaway of this ballyhoo.

But Comey apparently lied in trying to blame a Trump tweet for his action. As Trump’s lawyer, Marc Kasowitz, put it: “Mr. Comey testified he only leaked the memos in response to a tweet, the public record reveals that The New York Times was quoting these memos the day before the referenced tweet…”

So Comey the poisonous snake perjured himself, not that the pols are likely to call him on it. Great snakes and leakers, all of them, they will be ever so grateful for all the free press attention he drew to them.

“The Paris Accords on Climate,” writes scifi author Jerry Pournelle, “have reduced Germany to a state in which electricity is a luxury good according to Der Spiegel; so naturally President Trump is exhorted to agree to this nonsense.

“After all, the Europeans have; why should we be spared the economic pain? Surely Europe’s misery from self inflicted wounds is a more pressing problem for the US than the agenda Mr. Trump was elected for? Perhaps Senator McCain will tell us what the Paris Accords will do for the Earth, Europe, South America, various other places, and, perhaps even how they would affect the United States. We have natural gas; making it more expensive will certainly help Russia. Perhaps that’s it.”

Naw. President Trump should dump the accords on the climate schuck as soon as possible. Let the Mediacrats, Europe and the “Resistance” howl. They would find something to bitch about anyway.

Trump’s little joke

He tweeted a typo: “Despite the negative press covfefe.” It went viral.

Covfefe? The scolds of the fake news site Certainly Not News, which is anti-Trump 24/7, said the Internet was “baffled.”

Actually, much of the blogosphere enjoyed the joke. “It’s Slovenian for gotcha suckers!” wrote commenter exildedonmainstreet at althouse.blogspot.com

Indeed, Trump soon followed up with: “Who can figure out the true meaning of ‘covfefe’??? Enjoy!”

Nice to see that he has the self-confidence to be self-deprecating, even under constant Mediacrat attack. Unlike some other presidents the Mediacrats adored.

Fake Law

“Ten progressive judges in Virginia [4th Circuit Court of Appeals] have decided that Muslims can ask judges to change the nation’s national security and immigration policies whenever prior campaign statements in democratic political elections can be described as unfair to Muslims living in America…

“President Donald Trump’s Executive Order on Islamic migration ‘speaks with vague words of national security, but in context drips with religious intolerance, animus, and discrimination’ from the 2016 election campaign, the judges insisted….

“The judges’ deference to the Muslim plaintiffs comes after 16 years of deadly, repeated and destructive attacks on Americans motivated by the Islamic religion, starting on 9/11, 2001. Since then, U.S. forces have gone to war in several majority-Muslim countries to curb terrorism, and more than 101 people named after Islam’s primary warrior/prophet have been arrested and convicted by domestic courts for various jihad and terror-related offenses.”

The Trump “resistance” has moved into the courts, where fake law from our robed rulers is forcing the U.S. to take Muslim refugees and Muslim immigrants—unless the Supremes step in and rule nay.

James Comey is a poisonous snake

This is the finest analysis of James Comey, “deep-water Swamp Denizen,” that I’ve seen. His corruption in detail by famed scifi author Jerry Pournelle (The Mote In God’s Eye). Including Comey’s jailing of Martha Stewart.

“James Comey is a poisonous snake of the highest order… a deep-water Swamp Denizen who has been highly paid to deliberately provide cover for high-level corruption by the Clintons and Obama.  He is has been central to trying to destroy the Trump campaign and then the Trump administration from the start. He is as dirty as they come in DC.  He had highest-level cover (the FBI no less) and was deep into an effort to eliminate Trump.  Trump had to move hard, fast, and at exactly the right time to cut the head off the snake without getting bitten by the snake or being finished by the other swamp denizens.

“Begin by noticing how the President fired Comey when Comey was 3,000 miles away from his office, that Comey had no inkling he was being cut, that all his files, computers, and everything in his office were seized by his boss Sessions and the justice department.  This was not a violation of protocol, it was tactical.

“Notice how Prez Trump compartmentalized the strike and did not inform any of his White House “staff” to prevent leaks.  Notice how he emasculated Comey and the swamp denizens by letting them know in a tweet that the Attorney General got information (surveillance “tapes” from the seizure of Comey’s office) to let Comey and his handlers know that Trump’s DOJ has the goods on them.  This was a brilliant, strategic and totally imperative move at exactly the right time against horrible, evil and corrupt powers infesting our government.”

No standards, no ethics and no shame

That’s the conclusion of Breitbart’s Joel B. Pollack on the NYSlimes and the WaPo, who are piling on President Trump with almost daily criticism:

“In their effort to impugn Trump, the Times and the Post violate the most basic journalistic standards. Publishing parts of a document that you do not possess and cannot verify, and timing the release to cause maximum political damage (right after the president leaves the country), is not investigative journalism. It is political propaganda.”

And, Pollack might have added, their work is splashed across the front pages of innumerable Mediacrat newspapers across the country: Sheep who have always followed the NYSlimes and the Wapo, wagging their tails behind them.

Impeachment is coming

When the two major newspapers in the country are piling on, with almost daily anti-Trump stories, abetted by at least two major networks and a significant number of both political parties in Congress, Trump can’t escape for long.

“…Donald Trump declared war on the establishment, and the establishment is making war on Trump,” writes John Hinderaker of PowerLineBlog.

This Comey revenge story just may do it. Time will tell. A few months time. Until the end of the summer, anyway. Impeachment is coming from the House. Whether the Senate will/can convict is another story.

UPDATE:  This DOJ appointment of a special counsel to oversee the Trump/Russia circus may hold the onrushing tide back for a while. Note that it’s not a special “prosecutor,” which isn’t likely to assuage the Dems/Reps for long.
