Comey’s revenge a gun without powder

“Under the law, Comey is required to immediately inform the Department of Justice of any attempt to obstruct justice by any person, even the President of the United States.  Failure to do so would result in criminal charges against Comey.  (18 USC 4 and 28 USC 1361)  He would also, upon sufficient proof, lose his license to practice law.

“….If Comey concluded, however, that Trump’s language was vague, ambiguous or elliptical, then he has no duty under the law to report it because it does not rise to the level of specific intent.  Thus, no crime.”

On either side. As Breitbart says: “…Assuming, for the sake of argument, that the Comey memo is accurate, what Trump says — ‘I hope you can let this go … I hope you can see your way clear to letting this go, to letting Flynn go … He is a good guy. I hope you can let this go.’ — is never actually framed as a request at all. Yet the [NY] Times calls it a ‘request’ and an effort to interfere in the investigation.

Not that the Mediacrats or the anti-Trump pols will care to argue about it. They’ll very likely use it to try for the impeachment the networks already are pushing.

Trump: Genius or Savant?

A genius. An absolute genius at tying the liberals up in knots, along with their fellow-travelers McCain and Graham.

“Trump was unafraid to do what five presidents were afraid to do with regard to J. Edgar Hoover shows an additional aspect of his character that, while problematic, probably plays well with a lot of the public…But finally, it ought to be noted for the historical record that Comey might well be considered the last casualty of the recklessness of the Clintons.

“Aside from the specific controversy of Hillary’s home-brew server, it was Bill Clinton’s dodgy meeting on the airport tarmac with Attorney General Loretta Lynch last summer than compelled Comey to come forward with his extraordinary [July, 2016] press conference letting Hillary off the hook while explaining clearly that she is in fact a criminal.”

And that, alone, was a reason to fire him. But Obama wouldn’t do it.

Finally…

Trump fired Comedy. And the Left, predictably, is losing it.

“It’s a grotesque abuse of power by the President of the United States. This is the kind of thing that goes on in non-democracies—that when there is an investigation that reaches near the President of the United States or the leader of a non-democracy, they fire the people who are in charge of the investigation. I have not seen anything like this since October 20, 1973, when President Nixon fired Archibald Cox, the Watergate special prosecutor.”

Bhawhahahaha.

Now get the Hildafelon’s case to a grand jury!

Famous But Incompetent protects Clinton

FBI Director Comey has once again proclaimed a non-existent “intent standard” as his reason for letting the Hildafelon and her amanuensis Abedin slide over their email scandal. Protecting the powerful, more like.

“Last night, President Trump tweeted this: ‘FBI Director Comey was the best thing that ever happened to Clinton in that he gave her a free pass for many bad deeds!'”

Tom Fitton of Judicial Watch: “Why is it he said that he needed to prove intent, when in fact all they really needed was gross negligence, which was proven beyond the shadow of a reasonable doubt, and he probably had the intent there anyway?”

So why is Trump letting Comey stay director of the FBI? Is he waiting until the phony Russia scandal blows over, so the firing won’t look like a coverup? Hopefully.

Because unless Clinton gets the full grand jury probe of her mischief, Famous But Incompetent is going to be forever tainted—just like Bronco’s DOJ already is. And Trump himself will be tainted as well.

Trump: A four-hour sleeper

Salena Zito, formerly of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette, currently of the Washington Examiner, brings The Donald into sharper focus:

“It’s a very intensive process,” he says of the presidency. “Really intense. I get up to bed late and I get up early.” He rarely sleeps more than four hours, which is good, he explains, because he can call leaders around the world in the dark hours while the rest of Washington sleeps.

“When I was doing many real estate deals at one time, I always thought that was going to be more comprehensive and lengthier than a day like this.

“It’s not.”

Read. It. All. Here.

Pocahontas Warren

Was watching Trump at the NRA meet on my iPhone when he derided Sen. Elizabeth Warren as “Pocahontas,” something he did throughout the nominating campaign last year. I got a good laugh out of it.

Now the lying Mediacrats at NBC want you to believe Trump was taking an unprincipled, unfair and unAmerican jab at her Native American ancestry. When it’s really a totally fair swipe at her fake native American ancestry.

The Big Ask

“AP: Can you tell me a little bit about how that came about?

“TRUMP: No, just — you know, I asked the [Egyptian] government to let her out. …[Aya Hijazi, an Egyptian-American charity worker, jailed for three years]…

“TRUMP: You know Obama worked on it for three years, got zippo, zero.”

Trump, the master salesman, asked for the sale. He just asked. He did “the big ask” from The Art of The Deal. He got it.
