Rule 5: Viktoria Manas

Dream a little dream of me

Feels like a gift from Mrs. Charm. Although I found it on another blog, it just feels like a gift. I’ve read of such roundabout messages. Nice to experience one. Thanks, my love.

UPDATE: Timely, too, as our 28th wedding anniversary is the 11th.

Masks and hearing aids

Don’t mix. The elastic bands for the ears shove my hearing aids off my ears. I ventured out this morning to buy some masks made by a local tailor. Bar can wear hers, but I’ll have to stick with the bulky one she made me because its ear bands are made of cotton and aren’t as aggressive as elastic. Oh, well, I only have to wear it in the grocery and pharmacy.

Certainly be glad when this is over. Only bad thing is Bar will have to resume driving to work. It’s very nice having her work from home.

Missing Pesach

I consumed a little matzah, but otherwise was out-of-action for Passover with a touch of vertigo and weariness. I slept right through it. No fever nor any of the other signs of the virus, so we’re good to go. Feel better this morning.

insomnia

Truly bizarre. The off-key singer’s voice grates at times. But it’s worth it.

Recently purchased two 100 foot extension cords. This poem and every poem scheduled to post in April, were written under a palm tree.

insomnia

my restless heart can’t sleep
ever since she soaked my dreams
like a warm summer shower
of fireflies and fantasies
cascading radiance onto my soul
splashing away the darkness
causing my moons to shine
every sunrise to glow
my life is one sleepy blur
sleep or reality
i don’t know
just let me die of insomnia
so i continue dreaming of her

There will be a short funny post on Wednesday. Feel free to drop by and celebrate my birthday with me. xo

Searching for chametz

You could and you should search for it if you’re Orthodox or just traditional when it comes to Pesach. Which is going to be memorable this year for the number of couples and singles who must put together their own private Seders. Usually a family affair.

I wonder if more couples and singles were alone during WW2? Hiding from the Nazis. Or crushed under the boots of the camps. At least there’s none of that to reckon with. And there’s always Skype or Facetime.

Biden needs help

“The term for Joe Biden’s speech problem is Aphasia.

“He very likely has dementia and should be evaluated by a neuropsychologist. Some medications can delay the severity if they are taken early in the dementing process.

“If he is not treated, his wife and colleagues should be sued for elder abuse. I am saying that as a psychologist, not a political partisan.”
