Bronco’s “ethics award”

The University of Illinois—where else?—gives Bronco Bama an ethics in government award. Talk about blindness…

“The university did not explain what Obama had done to earn the award — nor did it explain how Obama qualified after the IRS scandal, the Benghazi cover-up, or his own “boneheaded” deals with corrupt Chicago figures, among other ethical problems.”

Mr. Boy in Aggieland

He’s been there for the past week getting his dorm-apartment ready and scouting out savings on textbooks, sometimes finding as much as $50 off the list price.

Plus joining a fraternity, a big distraction that may prove fatal. He should be ready when classes begin this week. Good thing we held back on tickets to home football games. Might be problematic now.

Why we Trumpsters stick with him

No matter what the anti-Trump news media says or does we keep on keeping on with The Donald. Journalist Salena Zito knows why, and explains in this piece that was temporarily censored by the leftist Facebook. Or Liberal Fascistbook:

“This new conservative populist coalition is not the fluke the political class hoped it was. Donald Trump did not cause it, he is just the result of it, so no matter what he does, it continues. It is predicated on them, not him.

“The coalition is a strike at not just tone deafness in both Congress and the White House but also high levels of incompetence, negligence and shoddy performance at agencies, as well as inept social services, a bloated and incompetent bureaucracy, endless wars and multinational agreements and treaties that don’t benefit average people.”

And the very evident and unpunished corruption epitomized by such as the Hildabeast.

UPDATE:  Commenter Evan Strong at the Daily Wire: “They just don’t get it. He is our glorious bastard. We know what he is and he is the only one at this moment in history to right the ship. I don’t care about his personal life. I can live with his outbursts, occasional vulgarity and that he doesn’t always say the right thing. He is genuine, real, a fighter and he gets it, which the left never will. He also has a big heart and loves this country.”

Public art: “Arid and ugly”

I could roll out dozens of examples but you’ve probably seen a few dozen yourself: giant nuts and bolts, swooping whatevers, steel beams colored to look… And to think they were promoted by the Soviet Union.

“…in the 1930s members of CPUSA (the Communist Party of the USA) got instructions from Moscow to promote non-representational art so that the US’s public spaces would become arid and ugly.

“…the Soviets, following the lead of Marxist theoreticians like Antonio Gramsci, took very seriously the idea that by blighting the U.S.’s intellectual and esthetic life, they could sap Americans’ will to resist Communist ideology and an eventual Communist takeover.”

And now we not only have “arid and ugly” public art but we have several serious political candidates pushing socialism beyond the Social Security System we’re all used to. Despite socialist Venezuala’s ongoing collapse. Not so laughable is it?
