Unreliable electricity

The awful Uvalde video

Another, more extensive look at the cops milling around in the hallway while wounded kids in the classrooms bled out. The video, leaked, that the Uvalde cops don’t want you to see. Their shame is boundless. They should all be fired.

UPDATE: “They edited out the sound of children screaming.” One short sentence that breaks your heart.” #Uvalde, via Yolanda Pierce, PhD, on Twitter.

Gall bladder removal

Bar is already fretting about her laparoscopic surgery on Friday afternoon. But it will stop her debilitating gall bladder pain. Even if it takes a week to recover from mucking about in her insides.

UPDATE: By Sunday, the pain of the four incisions is lessening. We’re still irritated that the surgeon never briefed either of us after the operation. A young, but good, nurse helped do that.

Gas first, electricity next

Think Lyin’ Biden’s high gas prices are bad? Wait’ll you see what he has planned for your electricity.

“The letter also highlighted that the EPA is considering revoking permits for coal plants that produce a total of 50 gigawatts of power generation annually. Such a move would likely lead to a major crisis, the Republicans said.”

UPDATE: And air conditioning. You knew it was coming.

“As Glenn has written, why not start with a pilot program first? Ban A/C for DC! “We won two world wars without air conditioning our federal employees. Nothing in their performance over the last 50 or 60 years suggests that A/C has improved things. Besides, The Washington Post informs us that A/C is sexist, and that Europeans think it’s stupid.”

Conservation

ERCOT is asking for conservation of electricity from 2 to 8 p.m. now that we’re in a heat wave and the windmills aren’t turning much. In fact they’re only producing 8 percent of normal. So we turned the AC up to 75 and unplugged major appliances not in use. They advised turning up to 78, but Bar has breathing problems.

The state’s Dimocrats are harping on the fact that we’re an energy capital of the world and the Republican governor isn’t doing…something… they’re not saying what. Their own president is in a war with oil and natural gas. Instead we’re to rely on windmills. In a time of little wind. Ridiculous.
