Launched on Christmas Day morning, the Webb telescope has got about six weeks of travel to get to L2, the second Lagrange point, which is 1.5 million kilometers away. (LaGrange points are where Earth’s gravity doesn’t affect objects in orbit.) With a bigger mirror than Hubble and in a much higher orbit, Webb will be able to peer much farther back in time (history) perhaps even to see the first galaxies. Will primarily look at the universe in the infrared wavelength versus Hubble’s optical and ultraviolet wavelengths. Should be interesting.

The climate hysterics will claim it’s global warming but we’ve had warm Christmases before, and besides, our human-gathered temperature records only go back about 170 years. Enjoy.

Figures it would be Texas to get the first Omicron death. Why? Because Texas is influential. But all we know, or can know, is that the passed Houstonian was in his 50s. Duh. And unvaccinated. Double Duh. But nothing about the co-morbidity he was carrying when he caught the Ohmigod variant. It’s still co-morbidity folks who are being snuffed out. I really agree with Trump that China should pay reparations to the world for this shit. Communist Party assholes.
