President elections no more

“It’s not just the obvious—dead people voting, people who left the state voting, illegal aliens voting, signatures no one could possibly recognize being authenticated, signatures with no record, envelopes being back-dated, ballots found in gullies, ballots dumped in gullies, ballot harvesting, foreign agents voting surreptitiously en masse, deadlines that keep moving like the proverbial goal posts, and who knows what….

“No one will ever really know what happened.”

We do know, however, that it is the end of belief in presidential elections, particularly in Dimocrat-run states.

  1. You are now becoming European. With the presidential election discredited, the congress should pick the president in future. This is how formally the German chancellor is elected. But how can the division of power and the checks and balances be upheld? By lip service, of course. Just like all the other Western principles. Watch your speech!
Finally this pesky electoral collage would be gone. But there is still this dreadful gerry-mandering. A fascist Nazi Darth Vader like Donald Trump could still reemerge if people come to pick their representative in the congress by direct vote. The solution is the proportionate voting system. It is far more democratic and modern and progressive and future-something and you must love it. Because if you don’t, you are evil. The way this works is that the party leaders assemble lists of hunchmen, and the congress is filled with the party lists proportionate to the electorate’s party choices. This avoids nasty surprises and the people in office and editorial rooms can steadily expand their power. Isn’t that great? Isn’t that better? Before you answer that question, ask yourself if you are a good person who wants love and future or a backward fascist.
In Germany nobody questions the outcomes of the elections. People know already what comes next no matter who wins. It’s called progress. So suck it up!

    I’m sarcastic, of course.

  2. Thieving has always characterized American elections but none on so grand a scale as the current presidential one. However to change to a Euro-style government would require throwing out the Constitution, which can only be amended piecemeal by elections in the states. Congress can’t do it alone. If the Constitution was simply overthrown, that would start a civil war, with real guns and real death.

    • I’m actually also optimistic that the Congress will be Republican in both chambers to check the Harris administration. But I also see how the left is totally emboldened and will do anything in its power to trash the constitution. Remember also that the Roman emperors never suspended the institutions of the Roman Republic and that Hitler was operating on the same constitution like the previous Weimar Republic. You basically just add a ‘but’ to everything and you are allowed to speack ‘but’ and allowed to assemble ‘but’. Of course, the ‘but’ does not come in writing. A constitution must be lived. It isn’t a living document, but the document must be lived. I can also imagine that they might eventually also lift a partisan tosh point into the constitution. Phyllis Schlafly famously stopped one. It had come far because Republicans were too dozy. Judicially abortion is a quasi-constitutional right. They just need to lift economic equality or protection against racism up into the constitution and can scream ‘We rather abolish your slave-holder gun rights and your backwards speech guarantees before we touch our precious protection against racism.’ Those ‘protections’ will, of course, be censorship and taxpayer-money showers over dubious groups. That’s how it works here.
