"A Mexican Senate committee passed a measure Wednesday urging President Felipe Calderon to send a diplomatic note to the United States protesting the deportation of an illegal migrant who took refuge in a Chicago church for a year."
Isn’t that precious? Now the Mexican pols are openly pushing illegal Mexican immigration to the U.S.
UPDATE: And what has it gotten us, so far? "…Los Angeles is the second largest city of Mexican nationals in the world." That and similar thoughts from "Mexifornia" author Victor Davis Hanson.

I thought Seablogger’s idea about forbidding remittances was an interesting one. It would produce an effect I’d like to see, but I can’t think of a means to accomplish it that I (or the constitution, for that matter) could tolerate.

That might work, but our pols probably wouldn’t do it. We have lots of cooperative agreements with Mexico, on things like extradition of criminals and cooperation (such as it is) in the drug war. But their support of illegal immigration really is becoming intolerable.

The situation when Mexican chiefs are openly demanding freedom of immigration to US for their own citizens is more than absurd. The hypocrisy is staggering.
P.S. Hope you have seen my version of the NA solution 😉
