November ended very dry, putting Austin in the exceptional drought category, i.e. the worst possible. We’re surrounded by an extreme drought area (the red on the map) with no end in sight. Our driest year since 1956. Odd combination: no rain and an early winter of chilly days andfrigid nights. Yech.
THE TEXAS SCRIBBLER 
We started pumping water in the stock ponds 2wks ago, Dick. Experiencing the same unusually cold weather here,had frost four or five times. I hate to see it, since it means buying more protein supplement for our cows. Calf prices are at about a four yr low right now. Don’t think BO is gonna bail out the stocker guys, but the corp. grain, big dairy and the Tysons & Perdues, maybe!
Sorry to hear about your water problem. Good luck on getting some of that federal cream. You might.
