Cut taxes and unneeded spending, ease up on the business regulations which will get unemployment below 9 percent. The  Obamalot “command economy” ain’t workin’.

How did we get a clown like this in the White House—threatening to withhold checks he has no control over unless he gets his high-tax way? He’s Dhimmi Carter and his “malaise” speech all over again. Let’s hope he follows Carter into one-term history. And he might, if this means anything in the long term.

UPDATE:  Call his bluff. If only. They don’t call the Republicans “the stupid party” for nothing.

Texans already beat the feds by buying gallons-per flush toilets in Mexico. Can a post-2014, D.C.-defying, black-market trade in incandescent light bulbs be far behind? I think not.

Meanwhile, the pols debate repealing the incandescent-deletion (bye bye 100 watt bulbs in January, 60 watt ones in 2014) which, while supported by Obamalot, actually was signed into law by Bush Jr. in 2007. With the, ahem, support of Big Light, i.e. GE, Phillips, et al, which will make a lot more money on the switch. And they, or something, have quashed repeal so far.

Not easily, anyhow. It raises reasonable doubt in a juror’s mind, which usually leads to acquittal. And so, as Bernie (who paid some attention to the trial while I paid none) neatly predicted a few days before the jury acquitted her, Casey Anthony walked. Well, by August, probably.

The news and entertainment media will now proceed to destroy her, one headline at a time, probably for the rest of her life. But comparing her to O.J. Simpson, as some talking-head nincompoops have, is just stupid. The cops had him cold, but they screwed up their evidence, also creating reasonable doubt.

The doubt was there from the get-go with Casey because the inept cops and the abusive prosecutor never had anything except innuendo and name-calling. And for that they kept her in jail for three years. Suspicion ain’t supposed to be enough, folks, and (whether she’s guilty or not) it’s a good thing, too, or the mob would rule us all.

Dumbocrat Dennis Kucinich now claims his words were twisted and he didn’t really praise President Assad when he recently visited Syria. So what was Dennis-the-Menace doing in the land of Assad-the-mass-murderer?

It’s been generally forgotten that Texas troubadour Willie Nelson actually endorsed Kucinich back when DTM was running for president against Obamalot in 2008. Nelson probably hopes it stays forgotten.

Negotiating with terrorists

Obamalot chose this July 4 weekend (of all times) to announce that it is (yet again) breaking with foreign policy tradition and negotiating with the Muslim Brotherhood, founders of Hamas.

Barry Rubin has repeatedly assured us (with evidence) that the Brotherhood is not a “moderate” organization as some would have it. Obamalot’s new move is not so unusual, you may say, since the White House already was negotiating with the terrorist Taliban on our exit from Afghanistan, and you would be right.

But we can also hope that they also are trying to finally bring home (recently promoted) Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl (above), of Hailey, Utah, who has been a prisoner of the Taliban for three years now.
