NY thumbs nose at Supremes

So the Supremes told New York you can’t be restrictive on who gets a concealed carry permit. So New York’s Dimocrats passed a law requiring many more restrictions than before plus making oodles of public places (such as playgrounds and Times Square) gun free zones. Where no one can carry concealed at all. Except for criminals, of course.

Aspen a**holes strike

Amazing. And they put it in a written letter and signed it, no less. With many, many lawsuits to follow. I actually have an old acquaintance who lives there. A retired Green Beret who seems to be a fish out of water, politically at any rate. He’s having technology challenges at the moment, leaving his phone on the third floor of his condo, whilst downstairs. Memory problems? Hard to tell.

No illegal voters for NYC

“Today’s decision [by the New York State Supremes] validates those of us who can read the plain English words of our state constitution and state statutes: Noncitizen voting in New York is illegal, and shame on those who thought they could skirt the law for political gain,” City Council minority leader Joseph Borelli said in a statement. “Opposition to this measure was bipartisan and cut across countless neighborhood and ethnic lines, yet progressives chose to ignore both our constitution and public sentiment in order to suit their aims. I commend the court in recognizing reality and reminding New York’s professional protestor class that the rule of law matters.”

Hopefully, California’s Supremes will find the same way, if they get the chance.

The incautious court

As the mobs gather to protest and threaten (police used tear gas to disperse them in Arizona) one thing is clear: when the left loses, it switches to riot mode. And that is one reason the Supremes have been historically relatively cautious in their decisions. Until now. A landmark expansion of 2nd Amendment rights followed days later by overturning Roe v Wade after fifty years is hardly cautious.

Angry voices already are calling to ignore the court on both decisions. The Supremes have no enforcement powers, after all. The DOJ is supposed to back its rulings but the current AG is already expressing anger at the dumping of Roe. This could be the constitutional crisis the leftists are always on about. Or just another summer riot season starting early.

The justices explicitly said they were turning the issue of abortion back to the states to decide, but with two dozen states already banning or planning to ban abortion, that hardly comforted the mob.

Conspiracy

“So those high prices for gasoline and the long, chaotic lines and canceled flights at the airports are not a bug, they’re the lynchpin of the whole scheme, which is itself part and parcel of the entire Great Reset project. In order for the Lords of Davos to control you they must first curtail and control your freedom of movement, and what better way to do that than to make the price of oil prohibitively expensive? First your cars stop moving, then the trucks that deliver almost everything of value, including food, to the stores. An inability to move freely and without government oversight will vanish as computers take over your automobiles and which, when they are fully electric, can be disabled at will. As they like to say: You’ll own nothing, and you’ll be happy.”

The coming blackouts

With temps up to triple digits in a continuing heat wave, Central Texas may soon see blackouts on electricity and air-conditioning. Not because the heat is extreme but because Biden’s feds have crippled power generation.

“The consequences resulting from Biden’s restriction of U.S. natural gas production may be even worse. The price of natural gas price has tripled, from about $3 per million British thermal units in June 2021 to about $9 by May 2022. This has raised not only utility bills but also prices of goods manufactured by gas powered plants.

“But higher prices may not be the worst of it. The longer-term climate campaign against natural gas use has resulted in utilities having less power-generating capacity. This, the Wall Street Journal recently reported, has led electric-grid operators to warn “that power-generating capacity is struggling to keep up with demand, a gap that could lead to rolling blackouts during heat waves or other peak periods as soon as this year.”

Fat man laughing

That would be Bill Barr, Trump’s last Attorney General, an establishment insider who turned on him. Laughing almost hysterically at the idea that the 2000 Mules documentary would have any relevance to American elections. Joining the Democrat fake news in dismissing it out-of-hand. What a doofus. And seriously overweight.

Here’s a decent analysis of the film, right wing, of course, as you can’t get a fair shake in the Democrat press these days. But the conservative NYPost piece at the inserted link is pretty fair, too.

“As the New York Post’s Miranda Devine writes: “The data pattern is unmistakable, as D’Souza shows a spider web of routes taken by various mules between NGOs and drop boxes. For each of the 2,000 mules the average number of drop box visits was 38, with an average five ballots deposited per visit. That’s 380,000 suspect votes…

“Remember: Only 43,000 votes decided the [presidential] election in the three battleground states of Arizona, Georgia, and Wisconsin. And this process of “ballot trafficking” was crucial to the Democrats’ razor-thin victories [in] those three states, as well as Pennsylvania and perhaps Michigan.”
