Still More Random Thoughts

Well, of course the climate warriors have a following. As long as it’s just rhetoric and someone else’s burden. Until they realize they’ll have to make do without a refrigerator, the biggest electricity draw in any abode, owned or rented, or else spend all their money on the electric bill to keep it running.

Ponzi schemes work great as long as everyone keeps paying. Gen-Y, or whatever they’re called this month, better get off their self-important behinds and get to work. I don’t want my checks to be late.

Just once, just once, I’d like to see a lengthy report in a leftist journal on the dark power of sororities.

We need fewer crooked lifetime experts and more enthusiastic honest amateurs. Can’t be that hard if Cuomo and Christy can do it. Not to mention Wormtongue.

Politics and crime are the media’s two favorite subjects because, basically, the information is free. At least from the pols who push, push, push it all the time. The cops are getting less cooperative these days. And more trigger happy.

The hyperregulatory state (shown by the 3, 415 new federal regulations issued before Thanksgiving) is excellent for the bureaucrats who do the regulating. So many opportunities for personal enrichment. Better known as graft.

Like her campaign posters said: Mother, Soldier, Former Farmer. Iowa Republican Sen. Elect Joni Ernst, a lieutenant colonel in the Iowa Army National Guard, could be the next Sarah Palin without Palin’s baggage.

Ernst wants to repeal Obamacare, cut taxes, reduce the size of government, restrict abortions, etc. Her election Nov. 9 also helped kill the War On Women meme, though the election took down four Democrat women senators with one more anticipated.

Officer Unfriendly now harrassing children

They claim they did it for the children’s safety, bursting unannounced and armed with at least one military automatic rifle (thoughtlessly provided by the Pentagon) into a Florida elementary school for a “drill.”

Some of the kids, understandably, said they feared for their lives. PTSD, anyone? And all because Officer Unfriendly is an idiot who is almost completely out of control. Not even the pols can corral these bozos anymore.

I suppose the kids and their parents can be relieved that none of these so-called police lost control of themselves and opened fire. You know, like they’ve been known to do elsewhere.

As the worms turn

Time for the big switcheroo the Progs make every time the Republicans get power:

They “speak up for freedom of speech, but only when a Republican is in the White House and dissent is the highest form of patriotism. When Democrats are in power, dissent and criticism magically morph into hate speech.”

So, even without the Reps in the WH but only controlling the Congress, we can expect plenty of the “highest form of patriotism” for the next two years. Of course because they don’t have the WH, the hate speech dodge will continue.

Opposing Wormtongue will still be raaaaaacist.

And I expect the lapdog Democrat snooze media will go right on ignoring:

“Fast & Furious, Benghazi, the IRS, the VA, the JV Islamic State, the nonexistent red line in Syria, the surrenders in  Iraq and Afghanistan, amnesty for illegals, refusal to secure the Southern border, the disgraceful manner in which Obama appeases the Islamic fascists of Iran while throwing the Jewish State into the snake pit, high taxes, lack of jobs, an ever expanding welfare state, the suicidal budget cuts to America’s military even as Russia and China are on the march, and most recently, Ebola. How’s that Ebola czar working out, folks?”

Barry’s Temper Tantrum

I understand his mea culpa over the Republican wave was a doozy. No mea culpa, actually. Of course not. Megalomanical. Narcissistic. Childish. All the usual Wormtongue encomiums. I don’t think he called anyone chickenshit, though.

But I can’t say for sure. I didn’t watch it nor will I read it. I can’t stand the sight of the man, his voice or his lies. Play golf for your last two years, Barry, take the Mooch on expensive vacations. Sign a garbage-bag-full of executive orders. Whatever. I just want to live long enough to see you retire.

UPDATE:  Listening is not his strong suit. Or negotiation. Or telling the truth. Meanwhile, his lapdog news media, no doubt fearing having to do some real work, i.e. reporting, with the Republicans in power, are urging him to double-down.

After all, as former FEC commissioner Hans von Spakovsky says, “progressives” and the Wormtongue “justice department” have been working overtime to aid the usual Democrat election cheating.

“And too many groups and individuals—including the NAACP, the American Civil Liberties Union and U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder—are doing everything they can to prevent states from improving the integrity of the election process.

“Their refrain is that voter fraud either doesn’t exist or is so insignificant that nothing needs to be done to improve ballot security. Yet in the U.S. Supreme Court’s 2008 ruling that upheld Indiana’s voter ID law, Justice John Paul Stevens acknowledged ‘flagrant examples of such fraud’ throughout the nation’s history and observed that ‘not only is the risk of voter fraud real’ but also that ‘it could affect the outcome of a close election.’”

Or, as the Democrats always say: Vote early and vote often.

So. counter-intuitively speaking, get yourself out there and vote today. The bigger the turnout the better. If the totals for any race ain’t close the cheaters can’t win.

And for gawdsakes, if you live in Austin, please vote NO ON LIGHT-RAIL Hardly anyone rides the damn thing. All it’s good for is more opportunities for political graft.

UPDATE:  The Elephants seem to have won the Senate and kept the House in a wave of victories. Too bad they’re almost as big crooks as the Dumbocrats. They might be worse if the Democrat news media didn’t dog their every step.

The part I really don’t like is that too many incumbents kept their jobs. So now we’ll see what Obumbles, he who doesn’t compromise, will do—probably before the newbies take their seats, while his party still has their power, he’ll try to ram stuff through.

Abolish the FEC

It is, as law professor and Instapundit Glenn Reynolds says, clearly unconstitutional. This regulating of elections, specifically who can donate money to whom and how much. Especially by a partisan agency run by partisans.

“The FEC with Weintraub on board has shown zero interest in investigating the foreign money that the 2008 and 2012 Obama campaigns are known to have accepted, which is against campaign finance law.”

Just one of the many laws Wormtongue has broken, backed by his federal Democrat bureaucrats, such as the FEC, IRS, and, lest we forget, Fart, Barf & Itch.
