Obama is my sheppard, I shall not work

Obama is my Shepherd; I shall not work.

He maketh me to lie down and watch Oprah:

He leadeth me beside the still factories.

He restoreth my bling:

He leadeth me in the paths of idleness for Barack’s name sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the sharing of the wealth, I will fear no workfare: For thou art funding me;

Thy lies and thy blade, they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of people who actually produce;

Thou annointest my teeth with gold;

My pipe runneth over.

Surely rebates and Earned Income Credits shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the House of the Obama forever.

Snort.

I would never have voted for JFK

All this 50th anniversary of Kennedy’s assassination baloney hasn’t interested me much. Some Yankees, I’m sure, still blame Dallas. So what. They’re just stupid, and mostly un- or underemployed.

I remember the adulation from my peers in high school, the low-information voters of my youth, who were only interested in Kennedy’s looks and his pretty wife. Nixon with his five o’clock shadow, beady eyes and rigid wife, wasn’t near as appealing. I was living overseas when he was killed so I missed the mourning hullabaloo

But I do remember why I would never have voted for him, if I had had the chance which I didn’t, being too young. He ran on a phony issue, the alleged Cold War “missile gap,” which as a U.S. senator privy to secret military information he knew was a lie. My Air Force father who knew better was livid.

JFK’s old cronies worshipers are still trying to explain that one away, just like Wormtongue’s acolytes are trying to do with “If you like your health insurance, you can keep it.” But just as there are plenty of videos of Wormtongue making his phony promise, there are plenty of old videos of Kennedy saying things like “We are facing a gap on which we are gambling with our survival …”

I could go on, but, like I say, it doesn’t interest me much. He’s dead. He didn’t deserve it the way it happened. But life has moved on. And so will I.

Hurricane ObamaCare is just the latest mess

Seeing the Democrat daily quibble over whether Ted Cruz exaggerated about the economy getting worse makes me want to scream. Fortunately I have other distractions and the Rancho’s economy is doing pretty well.

The economy beyond Texas, however, is dreadful and five years on, Wormtongue and his mendacious party (and their news media cronies) are still blaming Bush. Or Fox News, or Rush Limbaugh, or Ted Cruz. Anybody but the crew of this train wreck.

Wall Street Journal editorial page editor Dan Henninger summarizes the reasons behind the disaster, with my bolding:

“The no-decision on the Keystone XL pipeline and its union jobs; the 2,000-page regulatory law draped in 2010 across the entire financial sector; the shutdown in 2010 and then the slow-walking of offshore oil drilling;

“Siccing the EPA on the utilities industry and the National Labor Relations Board on all industry; a 2010 FCC decision to regulate Internet growth; a significant tax increase this year; support this month for jacking up the federal minimum wage to over $10, certain to smother new jobs; the Justice Department’s $13 billion looting of J.P. Morgan bank; and of course Hurricane ObamaCare.

“Barack Obama has the U.S. economy on lockdown. It’s the worst thing this president has done. American resilience, and elections, mean it won’t stay this way forever. But for a lot of poor and middle-class folks, living with mom in the basement is getting old.”

Cynics say the basement dwellers and the rest of the un- or underemployed won’t vote in enough numbers to keep the new/old welfare class from re-electing the train wreck.

They’d better be wrong because things that can’t go on forever won’t. When something has to give, it will. One way or another.

Hanoi Jane at the UN

So-called “actor” Jane Fonda (who was always better nude or semi-nude than speaking lines) won her Hanoi Jane nickname honestly by broadcasting to U.S. troops in South Vietnam over Radio Hanoi.

She has been quite a bit less honest in her semi-apologies ever since.

Now that President Wormtongue has his own Hanoi Jane at the UN in the person of Samantha Powers, the real one can drop the phony regrets and come out of the woodwork to party it up at the dictator’s club. Home at last, eh Jane?

Obozo’s latest coverup

Nevermind the way unsightly, unreliable and unprofitable “wind farms” are lowering property values and killing bats, eagles and other birds to line the pockets of Obozo’s crony capitalists while he preaches socialism for the rest of us.

His Green Energy sidekicks have long been ignoring the “wind industry’s” flaws. Now they’re playing hush-hush with rising complaints within the federal bureaucracy itself, including at the Pentagon.

Seems massed wind turbines produce false echoes on Doppler radar that interfere with tornado and storm forecasting and even the air traffic radars for commercial and military aircraft—causing flights to be unnecessarily diverted, raising fuel costs and increasing travel time.

The odds that the Obamacare fraud can be fixed by the promised Nov. 30? Practically nil.

By New Year’s? Don’t hold your breath.

And if you’ve already lost your health insurance—as your provider anticipated higher costs under the O-Scam and eliminated your policy from its portfolio—you are truly out of luck.

Because, even if you throw caution to the wind and trust the very hackable ObummerCare to get you a policy, you could wind up with nothing more than identity theft.

Meanwhile, back at the fix-it shop, Democrat contractor Inspector Clouseau is going over the 500 million lines of faulty code with his super French detective magnifying glass. Just 499, 999,000 to go.

And Obummer is out there on the speech circuit trying mightily to change the subject: “Quick, look over there.”

UPDATE:  As many as 52 million Americans could lose their health insurance under the O-Scam.
