“Terror” in Charlottesville

That’s CNN’s headline, placed strategically over any “reports” on C-ville. Mostly anti-Trump commentary from the usual Dem suspects.

The way the Mediacrats are hammering away at it I begin to think this was a setup all along. The cops withdrawn. The national guard withheld.

Antifas wading in with their ax handle clubs against the outnumbered Unite the Right rally and subsequently vanished from the “reporting.” The source of the terror, but for the lone driver who killed a bystander who, if she had any sense, wouldn’t have been there in the first place.

At least her mother has the good grace to thank the president for condemning bigotry.

“Three dead,” because it makes a better headline. More terror. When two of the three died in a helicopter crash that could have happened anywhere anytime.

And it’s, somehow, all Trump’s fault. Hogwash. Mediacrat stuff and nonsense. Designed to divide. It’s doing that alright.

That Trump Trans Ban

Is lookin’ good. About time they stopped social engineering the military. ‘Course, the Dems flipped out. Which makes it even better:

“Well that didn’t take long after Trump rolled a live grenade into the democratic party bunker. Liberals are howling about Trump’s morning tweet announcing that trannies would not be welcome in the military. It’s only fitting that Nancy Pelosi who has presided over a congressional district located smack dab in the middle of American’s sodomy capital would be among the first to decry the reversal of Barack Obama’s plan to create a safe space for freaks in the armed forces.”

UPDATE: The rule change is going to take some time: “In a letter to the military service chiefs, Gen. Joseph Dunford, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said that the policy on who is allowed to serve will not change until the White House sends the Defense Department a rules change and the secretary of defense issues new guidelines.”

MORE: The real issue here is not social engineering but cost. The Trans or wouldbe-Trans join so the military will pay for their sex change operations and the subsequent hormone treatments. It’s not like they’re patriotic or anything.

The Global Warming Shuck

Thomas Sowell spells it out in this decade-old-but-still-relevant review of a documentary that’s still available on the Internet:

“While the public has been led to believe that ‘all’ the leading scientists buy the global warming hysteria and the political agenda that goes with it, in fact the official reports from the United Nations or the National Academy of Sciences are written by bureaucrats — and then garnished with the names of leading scientists who were ‘consulted,’ but whose contrary conclusions have been ignored.”

Impeachment begins

“Today, Congressman Brad Sherman (D-CA), joined by Congressman Al Green (D-TX), introduced an Article of Impeachment (H. Res. 438) against President Donald J. Trump for High Crimes and Misdemeanors.  The Article is based on Article 1, dealing with “Obstruction of Justice,” which was passed by the Judiciary Committee on a bipartisan vote on July 27, 1974, regarding Richard M. Nixon.  Sherman circulated a draft Article on June 12, 2017, and has been conferring with colleagues and legal experts from around the country since then.”

Despite a month in the planning, Sherman was only able to get one co-sponsor, Alexander “Al” Green, D-Houston, a former NAACP leader, who has been accused of sexual assault and (oh, so forgetful) failing to report $300,000 in campaign contributions.

Or, Trump could fire himself, due to his son’s interest in colluding with the Kremlin. Or something.

Very Fake Muslim News

Breitbart eviscerates the WaPo’s pretend Jefferson Iftar dinner at the White House in 1805.

“To claim that the very first president to authorize war against Muslims would have hosted a dinner to honor Islam is an absurdity of the first order.”

It’s an absurdity started by—who else?—Bronc0 Bama, the childhood Muslim his own self.

Trump’s golden tweets

My comment on this WSJ piece walking back the media’s hysterical reactions to Trump’s tweets:

“Trump’s tweets are golden. As genuine as the man. Previous presidents have, after their multiple campaign promises, most of them to henceforth be forgotten, disappeared behind spokesfolk and telepromptered speeches. Trump is different. Hooray for the difference.”

So far, sixteen twenty people liked it.

Key to longevity: Tobacco & whiskey

Austin’s Richard Overton enjoys “any day spent on this porch smoking cigars” That’s “a pretty good day for the 111-year-old.

“This is where you’ll find the nation’s oldest veteran for 10 hours every day when the weather is nice. His friends call it his ‘stage.’ It’s where Overton sits and thinks about life, his starting in 1906, the same year as the first wireless radio broadcast and a year before the paper towel was invented.”

I interviewed him many years ago, back when he was, oh, in his 80s. He was pitched as a civil rights veteran then. His family sure loves them some ink & air time. And, now, some pixels.
