Why oil is $140 a barrel

Texas, Louisiana & Mississippi have the only coasts where oil drilling is allowed–overlooking an estimated eighty-six billion barrels of oil. Enjoy your high gas prices, folks. Better sell the Volvo.

Guilt by association

If anyone ever deserved the guilt for his racist, crooked, terroristic, and slimy friends, it’s Barry. If he was a Republican, you’d know all about them. But he isn’t. So you have to sniff a little to smell him out. But not to worry, we can do it. We sniffed out Kerry and he lost by five million votes.

UPDATE: Yipes, even CafePress is in the tank for Barry. No Barry-related satire, please. Good grief.

Catty over Barry, et al

The Seablogger, who despises Barry even more than I do, permits himself to entertain some catty remarks about the quota Ivy League couple, calling the mister a tail-raising tomcat marking his territory. Anne of Just Muttering takes umbrage and, as we’re likely to see a lot more of, spies a little racism therein. Amusing all around, I think. See if you don’t agree.

You can take Barry out of the “church”…

…but you can’t take the "church" out of Barry, especially after twenty years of being in it…

"Logic dictates that nobody would ever spend that long in a den of zealotry if they were not at least sympathetic to the opinions of those who dwelled there."

…not to mention a $25,000 donation, a mariage ceremony and two baptisms…

Nevertheless, for Little Miss Atilla, meanwhile, Barry just ain’t black enough.

What he is, however–since the MSM is determined not to tell you (just like they didn’t with Kerry’s Vietnam record in ’04)–is supplied by the RNC. Good on ’em. The start of something big, I hope.

1973 retro vu

As the price of oil shoots ever higher, and the price of gasoline rises with it, I keep thinking of 1973 and the beginning of the Arab oil embargo and the high inflation that followed it. This time it all seems to be market driven (plus the result of American political refusal to drill for more oil), rather than Middle East politics. But the result could be the same, i.e. higher prices for everything. A whole lot beside gasoline is affected by the price of oil.

The rats want out of the maze

It started with someone accidentally bumping some papers off his desk. Then the guy went berserk.

Presbyterians, meet the Methodists

Some of my finer friends and relatives are Methodists, and they generally ignore the Left wing politics of the presumptive "leaders" of their denomination. But that could be getting a lot trickier now that the anti-Jewish lunatics are taking over the asylum heretofore run by the Presbyterians.
