W denies dumping Trump

Our long-ago, two-term governor and two term only-because-of-wars-president denies (retracts?) NYSlimes report that he won’t be voting for Trump 2020. Completely made-up doesn’t seem likely even for the Slimes.

So maybe this is one of those do-it, then apologize, do-it, then apologize, games. Getting a two-fer on publicity. With the Bushes, you never know.

UPDATE:  Texas Land Commissioner George P. Bush (son of Jeb) will vote for Trump because “he’s the only thing standing between America and socialism.”

Anti-Jewish Black Lives Matter

Just a few days ago. the BLM led pogroms against Jewish businesses and synagogues and other Jewish institutions in Los Angeles. Now cops and the National Guard are kneeling to them in multiple cities, including the police in Austin. Modern Orthodoxy protests:

“We at the Conference of Jewish Affairs are appalled and angered by the wanton destruction that rioters in the Los Angeles area have wrought on Jewish synagogues, institutions, and shops in the significant Jewish area along Fairfax.  Much of the destruction and defacement of these Jewish synagogues and stores is deliberate and targeted acts of anti-Semitism.

 “We have known for years that Black Lives Matters is an abhorrently anti-Israel and anti-Jewish organization.  This anti-Semitism has trickled down from Black Lives Matters into large segments of those rioting. …”

So far, as Sultan Knish says, major Jewish organizations and denominations as well as the major news media are silent. You aren’t really woke, folks. When will you learn you can’t fight hatred by joining hands with it?

1968 deja vu

Pentagon officials, the Secdef and even some retired generals are fussing about using active-duty troops to put down rioting, burnings and looting.

Back in 1968, when the race riots after Dr. King’s murder were much worse than what the George Floyd protests have spawned, we in the active-duty Sixth Armored Cavalry Regiment at Fort Meade, Maryland, were training to put down riots in Baltimore and DC. We were never called.

In early 1969, we spent all day at the DC Guard armory, with rifles, pistols and bayonets, waiting to be called to protect President Nixon’s inauguration. No retired generals were fussing about it then that we ever heard. It turned out we were not needed. But we were ready to go if we were.

Of course, in those days, the National Guard was full of insubordinate draft-dodgers and pretty useless. Today’s Guard is full of combat veterans. And, in 1968, the press wasn’t as adversarial as it has been since President Trump was elected and retired generals weren’t as outspoken against the commander-in-chief. It’s unlikely the 1968 press would have given them much publicity if they were. Today, every anti-Trumper is a hero to the Leftist news media. And the Pentagon knows it has a competent Guard.

Antifa arrested in Austin

For looting a Target in Capital Plaza off I-35. The three riot ninjas, two women and one man, are in their 20s, and apparently the first Antifa arrests since the President denounced the organization as domestic terrorists.

Now we’ll see how fast they get out of jail and how quickly the charges may be dropped. Unless the feds step in. After all burned and looted Minneapolis has disbanded (!) their police department and looted New York City may be next. Looted Los Angeles is cutting the funding of their cops. Could Austin be far behind?

As the Z Man says: “Look for every city to start competing with one another to see who can be the most woke in dismantling their police departments.”

Time to buy guns and ammunition. We may soon be on our own. No more calling 911.

The Return of Riot Ideology

“Americans are being told by intellectuals, politicians, and TV pundits that this deadly chaos is about ‘systemic racism,’ to quote [Pedo] Joe Biden, but what we are actually witnessing is the return of a dangerous belief system that Manhattan Institute scholar Fred Siegel called ‘the riot ideology.’

“People are being killed, businesses are being looted, and the fundamental basis of a free society is being jeopardized because this irresponsible mentality has been promoted as a solution to racial inequality, when in fact it is a major cause of the problem.”

This lawlessness is mostly happening in Dimocrat-run cities. If that doesn’t cost them the election nothing will.
