Onward, through the fog…

Found out today at scheduled eye appointment that I have a complication: my new right-eye lens has slipped down, due to some tissue underneath it that tore when I was unconsciously squinting hard during the operation, and some subsequent rubbing of the itching eye during sleep, after I had stopped (as planned) wearing a plastic shield over the eye when sleeping.

The slippage is causing a doubling of overhead lights and even shiny doorknobs. So now I need a second surgery in which the lens will be moved back to center and sutured in place so it can’t move. This time they aim to put me all the way to sleep, being intubated (tube down the throat), so, hopefully, I won’t be squinting again. All this before the left eye is done, now probably not until April. Onward, through the fog…

Eye improving

Five days out from my cataract surgery, the eye is improving. Whereas it was foggier than what it replaced, initially, the insert lens seems to be clearing. Colors are brighter. Still can’t read print on paper, but I wonder how much of that is the remaining eye to be done. It’s cloudy still.

UPDATE: One day later the right eye is still improving. Can read print on paper now. It all took awhile because, as the doc/surgeon said, I had seven layers of cataracts to emulsify. To get them through the normally small slit he cuts in the eyeball to remove/replace the lens.

More snow and ice

Light snow and rain today supposed to end by evening, with a hard freeze (in the low 20s) overnight. No power outages so far and that’s the main thing.

UPDATE: Four nights of hard freezes brought no power outages, so we were good.

Reiki masters

Bar and I are master-teachers now, nine months after getting Reiki I training and, for me, daily practice ever since for me and her and a few other family and friends. Doubt I will ever teach it but master level is cool for various reasons, none of which I’m supposed to talk about.

Cataract surgery

Is tomorrow on my right eye. Not sure when as they were to call this morning about that. Haven’t yet. Be glad when it’s over, though everyone who’s had it says it will be easy. Left eye probably won’t be done until March.

UPDATE: The surgery was a bit complicated. I wasn’t blissed out as expected and was uncomfortable throughout, though not in pain. Doc said it was harder than he expected and I may have foggy vision for a few days. Though I have noticed that a sweater I thought was green is actually blue. Woo Hoo!

Salting the vote

Why else would Biden fly illegals to small airports in the dead of night? It might be about where they’re going—to New York state, for instance, say to increase the Dimocrat vote against possible inroads by Republicans. Did all the passengers get a nice voting brochure? Who to thank?

Or else he’s paying off big donors whose cheap nannies and landscapers are leaving for better opportunities. It sure ain’t because he loves Hispanics. He don’t love nobody except himself and Hunter. And the odd little girl or boy.

Which makes me wonder if Obama isn’t running this op? Remember Psaki’s flub about working for Biden? She started to say Obama.
