Ancestor Reiki

Cindi, my Reiki Master teacher, uses Angel Reiki, calling in help from the angels and archangels. I prefer ancestor Reiki, asking my beloved of several generations specifically and the unknown preceding others to help with the flow of the channel through me. I call them the gang, hoping that irreverence won’t hurt me. Hasn’t so far.

The Crown

Is a series on Netflix about Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II (Lilabet, as her husband called her) that is mostly good. I’m on the second season now and still enjoying it. Some of the actors were also in Downton Abbey, which further amuses, watching them be someone different, or mostly different.

UPDATE: The Kennedys, before the assassination, visit QE2. The actors don’t much resemble Jack and Jackie. Her apology to Lilabet for saying snotty things about her and admission to being doped up by the WH doctors is bizarre. Maybe? Or not.

MORE: Season 3, Episode 1 has a new Lilabet and a new Phillip (trading Matt Smith for the villain of Outlander) and, suddenly, I couldn’t care less. Smarter would have been to age the originals. Oh, well, on to better (well, different) things.

Colonoscopy

I’m scheduled for another one, although I really don’t intend to be treated for any cancer discovered, simply because I want a heads-up. If anything’s found, I prefer to just find out how long I have and sign up for hospice. Having watched Mrs. Charm go through chemo, I know I don’t want any of that poison. No surgery and no radiation, either. I’d just rather know what’s coming than be in the dark. If nothing is, then I can rest easy for a few more years. About colon cancer, anyway, which felled my father and grandfather.

UPDATE: Got the pre-op appointment set for Aug. 31. Event usually happens soon after.

Russ’s stones

Are in the works. Colonel Art says the VA will have Russ’s ground military marker soon and I recently got the contract for the upright civilian stone and sent it back with half the fee as specified. So maybe we won’t have to wait until November, due to a lack of granite after the pandemic. Fitting that the civilian stone will be of Georgia Grey granite, since he and me and Colonel Art all graduated from the Benning School for Boys. A granite that seems to turn sky (or Infantry) blue in direct sunlight. Allllriight.

Viet pedicure

Hurrah, I discovered another Vietnamese pedicure/manicure spot not far from the mini-rancho. Beavering away as usual, charging significantly less than other places for the same service. Saving their money for greater things. Probably illegals. Very little English spoken but generally understood. Viva la Viet Nam!
