No mo cheese in Cheese Whiz

Charles at Dustbury has discovered that the makers of Cheese Whiz have figured out a way to make the stuff without cheese. Whoop-de-do.

Back off, I say, those folks down in Port Arthur have to do something with all that petro waste they produce while filling your cars with gasoline. They can’t dump it ALL in the Gulf.

Besides, I do assure you from my very own personal experience, there’s not a 13-year-old boy on the planet who could tell the difference.

Pelephone’s delightful ad

Pelephone, an Israeli mobile phone company, has produced one very imaginative, quite funny, advertising video. Enjoy.

Government inefficiency is reassuring

I’ve said this before about other things, but it’s worth saying again in a new context. I find this news of the Secret Service operating with outdated and frequently malfunctioning, circa 1980s computer equipment, quite reassuring, actually.

As an old friend, a former government spook, likes to say, while hooting at the latest conspiracy theory of the paranoid: no agency of the federal government could find its ass with both hands. And thereby, my friends, our freedom is preserved. Imagine if they were actually efficient…

Rule 5

cindyc09Let’s face it folks. It can’t all be cub scouts and world-famous barn owls around here. Elsewise my diminished hit count from the recent switch from MT to WP will stay diminished. So, borrowing a hint (and the pix) from CG Hill in Oklahoma (not to mention TFG in San Antonio), here’s Rule 5 at work.
