This seems absolutely right to me. Terrorism is the No. 1 political issue, whatever people tell the polls, and no amount of babble about health care and global warming is going to change it. It’s why I don’t think Hillarity or Obama have a snowball’s chance in Texas in July. So far only Rudy and Fred consistently talk the talk. If the Dems have anyone, he/she isn’t in sight.

A global warming crusader, a pol in North Carolina, is proposing that incandescent light bulbs be banned there. Better there than here, thank you very much. Dim bulb. This is not, however, surprising. The MSM and politicians love bandwagons. Everyone gets to ride. The rest of us get screwed.

Global warming was already looking more political than scientific, especially with the despicable UN for top corroborator and Al "Big Electric Bill" Gore for chief spokesman. But now comes a rather fundamental objection: what, if it’s indeed possible to say, is the normal global temperature? Where, in other words, does one begin to calculate a rise or a fall? Could it be there are too many variables to say?

Indeed, concludes Danish physicist Bjarne Andresen in the "Journal of Non-equilibrium Thermodynamics": "It is impossible to talk about a single temperature for something as complicated as the climate of Earth. A temperature can be defined only for a homogeneous system. Furthermore, the climate is not governed by a single temperature. Rather, differences of temperatures drive the processes and create the storms, sea currents, thunder, etc. which make up the climate."

French scientist Claude Allegre’s second thoughts:

"…in an article entitled ‘The Snows of Kilimanjaro’ in l’ Express, the French weekly…[he] cited evidence that Antarctica is gaining ice and that Kilimanjaro’s retreating snow caps, among other global-warming concerns, come from natural causes. ‘The cause of this climate change is unknown,’ he states matter of factly. There is no basis for saying, as most do, that the ‘science is settled.’"
