The Random Platitude Generator

Is the generator, wonders Stacy McCain, the real author of Wormtongue’s increasingly banal speeches?

“…empty rhetoric, glittering generalities and vague diplomatic argle-bargle?”

Well, sure, then it’s off to another expensive vacation with Mooch and the girls. The Magical Negro shouldn’t have to expend any real blood, sweat and tears, when he can use Air Force One like a taxi and spend millions in tax money lord-and-ladying it up at Aspen or on safari in darkest Africa.

The Chillicothe Speech

Stacy McCain’s right, Romney ‘s fired up and this is a good one worth reading:

“America runs on freedom. Free men and women, pursuing their dreams, working hard to build a better future for their families. This is what propels our economy. When an American succeeds, when she wins a promotion, when he creates a business, it is that individual, that American that has earned it, that has built it. Government does not build our businesses, the American people do.”

Not many political speeches make good reading. This one does. Try it.

Seven million hits

Not me, alas, still parked at not quite 230,000 after five years. No, the seven million mark goes to the inventor of Rule 5, Stacy McCain. He’s a lot more consistently political than this here blog, but he deserves his seven million visits for the invention of Rule 5, alone.

Rule 5 rocks

Indeed, one pic of the voluptuous and demonstrably-cute young French singer-exhibitionist Alizee, has brought me in the neighborhood of five hundred hits in the past three days alone.

As the embodiment (so to speak) of blogger Stacy McCain’s Rule 5, that is not a surprise. However, she still has a ways to go to beat out my previous (and ongoing) hit-makers, Lake Travis in drought, Port Aransas from the air, and Miles Austin’s girlfriend. Nevertheless, I’m grateful, both to Rule 5 and the fetching Ms. Alizee. Have a nice day, dear. You deserve it.
