Benghazi probe hotting up?

Could the Stupid Party be actually, truly, you know, “investigating” the Benghazi murders?

There’s a new warning from House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) to the legal offices of CIA, Defense and State to start helping their tattling employees lawyer up for anticipated Democrat revenge in public hearings to come. Remains to be seen whether it’s more than hot air.

Disputed Purple Hearts

One of the reasons the Obamaloots are giving for a possible presidential veto of a new defense appropriations bill is that it awards Purple Hearts signifying woundings in action to the military victims of two Jihadi killings at Fort Hood and Little Rock, Arkansas in 2009.

“On June 1, 2009, Muslim convert Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad, who had spent time in Yemen and was an avowed jihadist, killed one soldier and wounded another in a drive-by shooting on a military recruiting office in Little Rock. He pleaded guilty to murder, avoiding trial and the death penalty, and was sentenced to life in prison.

“Nidal Malik Hasan, a U.S. Army major who had email communications with senior al-Qaeda recruiter and Yemen-based cleric Anwar al-Awlaki, awaits military trial for the Nov. 5, 2009, massacre at Fort Hood, Texas, in which 13 were killed and 29 wounded.

“After the Fort Hood shootings, the FBI quickly said there was no evidence of a greater terrorist plot at work, the Defense Department called it an “isolated” case, and Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said Hasan’s actions were not representative of his Muslim faith.”

Well, I’m sure that should make us all feel a lot better about it. Cretins.

Muslims for America

An interesting site worth a visit. A reminder that not even Muslims are a monolithic group, despite the stereotype. Still, it’s worth keeping in mind that the threat is real. And the war ain’t over–not by a long chalk.

Ignoring Gen. Grant

Time magazine once again proves why I was wise to stop subscribing to and reading it years ago.

The new G.I. Bill

Excellant way to show support for the troops. Back a new G.I. Bill to send them all to college.

UPDATE:  It’s set for a May 8 vote in Congress. But there’s already concern the Dems will try to kill it.

Losing the war

Wretchard at the Belmont Club has long been eloquently describing how, and why, the political divide in this country is impeding the war on terrorism. On the latest debacle in Iraq, between Iran’s favorite son al Maliki, and the Blackwater security company (with cooperation from our State Department and the Dems in Congress), he shows why history is such a sad story. We get closer all the time to retreating and coming home to circle the wagons. Without closed borders, of course, to make the circle work. While continuing our profilgate energy ways to make the oil ticks rich, so they can support the terrorists.

Those wily aliens

Mr. Boy and his pals like to "hunt aliens," as they call it when camping with the other Tiger Cubs in the woods at McKinney Falls State Park. Well, here are "real" aliens, explaining the war on terrorism–with really cool pictures, for the text-challenged. A big gracias to Miriam at Miriam’s Ideas for the tip.
