Obamalot’s Holocaust supporter

It’s bad enough, the double-standard Washington applies to Israel, always scolding them for “provoking” the Palestinians and not making enough “gestures,” such as releasing jailed terrorists. Never scolding the Pals for anything. Such as their rocket-launching from Gaza. Nada.

But the recent bashing for building apartments in northeast Jerusalem is just too much. Especially when you learn that one of Obamalot’s concerns is that they would be built on “the site of the Shepherd Hotel, the former home of the late Haj Amin Husseini, a former mufti, or Islamic law scholar,” according to the Washington Post.

Turns out Haj Amin Husseini was more than a “scholar.” He was a Nazi favorite who spent much of World War II in Berlin trying to convince Hitler and Eichmann to extend their Final Solution to the “Jewish problem,” i.e. the Holocaust, to the Middle East. Has Obamalot no shame? Apparently not.

  1. In Obama’s defense, I’d say he’s just ignorant.
The more I see of him the more I think he’s just so steeped in leftism that he has never heard any other side.

Maybe. His performance yesterday, where he branded the leadership of the Tea Partiers “Birthers,” was one more example of how his alleged “ignorance” has a despicable, calculating side.

  3. In Catholicism we speak of “vincible” ignorance and “invincible” ignorance. Sometimes the truth simply isn’t available to a given person. This is a bit of a different context, but the principle applies.

People like the President, in their arrogance, are willfully ignorant of anything that might not come under their narrow world-view. And since he’s poisoned relations with Israel, he won’t get heads up on a matter like this.

He’s poisoned relations with half the country, which is why his approval is in the dumper. On the Tea Partiers, he could have followed his post-racial, post-partisan script and presented a better argument than the one they make. Instead he resorted to standard liberal Dem practice and called them kooks, trying to make them defend themselves on that. He’s no fool. He’s arrogant all right, and I think he knows very well what he’s doing.

  5. Frankly, the place where the mufti had his house could do with a few years of decontamination before they build there 😉

At the very least a few tons of bug bomb would be appropriate.
