Stupid, or lazy, Millennials

“Now Americans aged 16 to 24 rank at the bottom of a 22-country evaluation of numeracy, literacy, and technological problem-solving.

“Poor student performance should be no surprise: America’s family structure is falling apart. Nearly 30% of non-Hispanic white children are born out of wedlock, as well as 53% of Hispanics and 73% of African-Americans. When Reagan took office, 18% of all American births were to unmarried mothers. By 2014 the figure was above 40%.

“Catch-up ball doesn’t begin to describe our predicament. We need nothing short of a great national turnaround. There are two Republican candidates who made clear from the outset that it isn’t business as usual — Ted Cruz and Donald Trump. Another Romney wouldn’t be relevant.”

And Spengler, aka David Goldman, prefers Our Ted. Millennials, however, will almost certainly vote for the Hildabeast whose policies will continue the decline.

I don’t know about them voting for Hillary. If she gets the nomination over Bernie (the perception among Sanders supporters will be she stole it) his supporters probably will stay home in large numbers.
Also, I still get this feeling that Hillary’s time has past.

  2. I hope you’re right. I do, indeed.

Of course most of the left doesn’t realize that their policies will end in revolt, but the ones that do hope that it gives them an excuse for a crackdown on their perceived enemies. What the latter doesn’t realize is that once rebellions start they are extraordinarily hard to predict much less control.
You are seeing signs everywhere of rebellion (in the electorial process, schools, general culture, etc) the left thinks that with the capture of the administrative branch of the government they can control all of this and by first glance you may assume they are right, but I have my doubts.
One of their tricks Stanley is to get people to assess the situation from their perspective, which progressivism is marching along in an unstoppable march, but if you look at it from the other side you can make the case they are losing. I believe that most of them secretly believe this as it explains their almost hysterical behavior. They are losing and they know it..
How it all ends, I don’t know, but I do think it’s going to get pretty nasty, they are pushing it that way.
