To Die in Jerusalem

This HBO documentary, which I haven’t seen, but remember the murder it commemorates very well, shows just how sick the Palestinians really are. Rachel had to die because Ayat, indoctrinated with hate from childhood, needed Jewish blood to please her mad god and her morally-degenerate society. No better example than this of why Islam is not peace, and our State Department’s rush to create a new terrorist state is insane.

UPDATE: Fears that Ehud Olmert, Israel’s weakest prime minister in decades, will give away the farm.

MORE: SimplyJews has a meaningful review of the flick, as meaningful as one can get with such a pathetic subject.

Google’s censors

The Seablogger says he feels dirty everytime he uses Google now. LGF notes the search giant’s latest political move, leaving up anti-Semitic videos on YouTube but taking down a reasoned anti-Jihadi speech by Robert Spencer at Dartmouth–who has a link to the video elsewhere, though I must say it’s of remarkably poor quality and so echoey it’s hard to understand his words. These kinds of games can kill a business, even one as big as Google–the fifth most valuable corporation in the U.S. with a market value of $217 billion. Me, I’m making it a point to use other search engines, such as Yahoo, Ask, and MSN.

Operation Redwing

Military heroics are seldom reported in the media these days, MSM or otherwise. So it’s rare to find a story of battle heroism. Mainly because of people like this woman, a professional journalist who has to struggle to find excuses for her appalled friends when her son joins the Army to serve in Iraq. But here’s a heroic story, and a book, that deserve knowing, told by an East Texan who fought behind the lines in Afghanistan. The book is selling, and so a movie may be made, which worries him. He knows Hollywood knows (and cares) nothing about this war.

IED finder

Teflon Don on the skill hardly anybody knew was pursued in Iraq, until now, if they read him and the WaPo. The Buffalo finds and blows them, safely as can be done.

Worried O man

The MSM may not be willing to admit the turnaround in Iraq, but Osama–or his audio double in his latest recording–is:

"Al Qaeda is under a lot of pressure of late. In addition to defeat in Iraq, the organization is being battered in North Africa, South East Asia, Somalia, Afghanistan and Pakistan. Bin Laden has not got any good news to talk about…"

Smartass with a press pass

Bobby Caina Calvan is famous now, at least in the blogosphere, for being a jerk in a war zone. I read his post, saved here after his California newspaper took it down. I sympathized with him, to an extent, though I reserved most of it for the soldier he hassled. And I have to agree that Bobby’s too arrogant for his own, or anyone else’s good. Replace this smartass boy with a man, ASAP.
