The settlements obsession

Nevermind the latest “secret” document dump by obvious traitors within the U.S. State Department. It’s the department’s very explicit behavior an honest media would highlight every day. For instance, the way they ignore:

“….the level of poverty and illiteracy in the Arab and Muslim world and the absence of a free press, independent judiciary, human rights, and of the increasingly savage persecution of women, infidels, dissidents and homosexuals; about the prisons teeming with thousands of Muslim political prisoners…kidnapped and…tortured for ‘thought crimes.'”

Instead, our permanent “diplomatic” bureaucracy whines incessantly about “settlements” in Judea and Samaria (as if they learned nothing from Israel’s abandonment of settlements in Gaza, from which the Hamas rockets continue to fly) and silly (if not so pathetically cynical) fluff about a Palestinian “state.”

It makes about as much sense as this animated cartoon does.

Tehran’s Star of David

This’ll learn ’em, by gosh and by golly. Imagine the outrage.

Islam, after all, is supposed to be the culmination of the human urge to find god in nature, not be merely a new flavor of it fit only to be surreptitiously adorned by the symbols of one of the oldest.

Heh.

Fight Iran? We’re already fighting Iran

A key revelation of the Wikileaks doc dump confirms what some of us have long believed:

“U.S. servicemen and -women are being dispatched to combat zones in Iraq and Afghanistan where they are fighting Iranian soldiers and assets in a regional war with the Islamic Republic that our officials dare not discuss, lest they have to do something about it.”

An analysis of the dump that’s worth a look.

Flowers In The Gun Barrels

first-idf-paratroopers-at-the-western-wall-june-1967I never have cared for American hip hop, but I love this Hebrew remix of “Prahim ba kane,” a victory song from Israel’s 1967 war in which they took back the Western Wall (right).

The song was first recorded by an IDF army band but it’s bested by the Zionist rapper Subliminal and his group, including sultry pop singer Sivan Behnam.

The refrain in English goes: “The sun will shine red in Gaza and Rapiakh/ The moon will shine white over the peak of Mount Hermon/ Flowers in the gun barrels and young girls in the watchtowers/ Soldiers will return in great number to the city.”

And the rest of the lyrics. Very hard to sing along in English, though.

Go Sarah Go

Palin Derangement Syndrome makes me laugh. She’ll be a great president.

Or, the dramatic solution

“All we need to do is develop a booth that you can step into that will
not X-ray you, but will detonate any explosive device you may have
hidden on or in your body.  The explosion will be contained within the
sealed booth.

“This would be a win-win for everyone.  There would be none of this
crap about racial profiling and the device would eliminate long and
expensive trials.

“This is so simple that it’s brilliant. I can see it now:  you’re in
the airport terminal and you hear a muffled explosion.  Shortly
thereafter an announcement comes over the PA system, ‘Attention,
standby passengers! We now have a seat available on flight number…'”

Who, as opposed to what, gets on the plane

The El Al security system is far less intrusive than the TSA one (there is no groin grope or X-Ray machine), and it works just fine.

Because, unlike the feds, El Al is not concerned with political correctness, only safety.

Michael Totten, who gets profiled every time he flies through Tel Aviv, explains how Israel does it:

By eschewing the “Security Theater” approach, which is to always fight the last “war,” i.e. remove your shoes, bring no shampoo, let them grope your underwear, etc.

Despite that Al Q never strikes the same way twice, the Feds always do.

(I’m hoping to experience the Israeli Way when I fly to Tel Aviv in the spring.)

Meanwhile, Thomas Sowell sees more of Obamalot’s disdain for America here:

“If anything good comes out of the airport ‘security’ outrages, it may be in opening the eyes of more people to the utter contempt that this administration has for the American people.”

Still more from Instapundit, who thinks the flying public’s anger over TSA’s groin grope is far from over.

Because, for one thing, Obamalot is considering exempting Muslim women.

UPDATE:  Meanwhile, the federal bigs are breezing right on through. No scan or grope for them. And no surprise, either.
