Carly still struggling for “debate” role

The Clinton News Network (CNN) has come up with a formula to deny Carly Fiorina a place in their September 16 GOP “debate”. Why the ‘phants even agreed to play in CNN’s small-audience, Democrat backyard is beyond me.

Carly is simply the Hildabeast’s greatest and most pointed critic. She doesn’t waste time beating up on the other GOP candidates but goes straight against the Democrat’s probable nominee, Ma Barker herself. So the Clinton News Network’s decision to exclude Carly is no surprise at all.

UPDATE:  Chicken Noodle News says Carly might be included after all, but it’s not certain yet. Pull the other one.

Democrats promote income inequality

The Democrats love to harp on income inequality and pretend that their polices of more taxes, more spending and more regulation will somehow bring the cure that even Soviet communism could not. So it’s refreshing to hear Carly Fiorina explain why they lie:

The truth is, Hillary Clinton’s ideas create more income inequality. Why? Because bigger government creates crony capitalism. When you have a 70,000 page tax code, you’ve got to be very wealthy, very powerful, very well connected to dig your way through that tax code. So, she made to cry [about] income inequality, [and] what I will continue to point out is the fact that every policy she is pursuing will make income inequality worse, not better, crony capitalism even worse, not better. And meanwhile, we will continue to crush the businesses that create jobs and middle class families.”

Our mendacious president has really done a number on the middle class he claims to care about. As if it were more than a mere slogan. And a subsequent eight years of Ma Barker, as I prefer to call Slick’s cuckold, will make it even worse.

Turkey’s swords & sandals epic

"</p

You don’t need a program to find the anti-Semites of the world. Just look for their preferred pomp and pugnacity, such as Turkish president Erdogan’s costumed palace guards. Bet his Pally bud Abbas just loved it. As for the E man’s recent loss in Parliament, he’ll just take a tip from his pal our Little Barry and issue executive orders.

Once more: Random Thoughts

Tonight’s reportedly-planned speech in which self-crowned King Worm will announce his unconstitutional amnesty for millions of mainly Hispanic illegals will start a stampede of new ones looking for the same deal.

It should get him impeached. It only takes the House to impeach. At the very least the House should cancel the money he needs to make his amnesty work. They have that power. We’ll see if the Stupid Party has the cajones to do either one. I’m betting not. Just bluster. More bluster.

Meanwhile, Texas, which Gov. Rick Perry says spends $12 million a month trying to secure the border with Mexico because King Worm and the Democrat Party refuse to enforce existing federal law to do it, is planning to sue. For the $12 million a month and for the extra millions that will have to be spent to deal with the fresh surge of illegals amnesty is likely to encourage.

There’s no need for revolution against this Democrat would-be dictator, however. Passive resistance is the very best course against overweening government: like the millions not signing up for ObamaCare and the thousands in Connecticut refusing to register their guns. I’d skip not filing income taxes, however.

Heresy update: Slow Joe Biden would make a much better president than the Lizard Queen. Just about anybody would. He’s more competent, believe it or not. He’s had to do his own stealing all by himself to get to be a millionaire. She’s had a serial predator to help her do it.

She and the Groper must be salivating thinking of all those White House antiques back in their hands again after 2016. They’ll have a much better idea of what to steal this time.

People who carry concealed pistols have a responsibility to practice, both dry-fire at home and with bullets on a range, to be ready and confident for if/when the need ever comes.

Arts and Sciences: Probably the only field in which you could fake having a doctorate, since so much of the academic version is twaddle to begin with.

Don’t move to Texas, please.  Not only do we have illegal aliens (including terrorists, no doubt) surging across the border, fire ants in every back yard, and roaches as big as your hand, on some roads, there is no speed limit. It helps to drive a big truck with a hardy brush popper for the deer that wander across highways, especially at night. Why, you could get killed down here.

Drinking plain old water is what works, every time, to both sober up and cure a hangover. Too many people waste their time drinking coffee. Or some lame concoction they saw in a movie. Alcohol depletes water in the body. Get it?

Well, that’s one more “probe” down the memory hole at Fart, Barf & Itch. They’re still searching for the phone numbers of the conservative victims of the IRS. Now they claim they’re going to investigate Jerusalem’s synagogue massacre. Just what the Israelis need, I’m sure, more stumble-bum gumshoes from Fort Beltway.

The Dream Speech of 1963 put the FBI into action, wiretapping Dr. King as a suspected Communist on order of the Democrat Kennedys. Obviously the content of their character wasn’t worth judging. Later it was claimed they were concerned about his opposition to the Vietnam war, but that came long after the Dream Speech set them off.

After all these years of ever-higher black unemployment, 80-something percent among young men at last report despite a half-black president, it would be amazing if they weren’t desperate enough to finally leave the Democrat plantation.

Obamacare for the Internet

Our good Texas senator Ted Cruz hopped right on Wormtongue’s latest “progressive” assault on capitalism and free enterprise: asking the FCC to declare the Internet a public utility.

Remember the old monopoly phone company? That was a public utility. It was highly regulated. Just like the Worm wishes he could do to Fox News and Rush Limbaugh. He’ll settle for Drudge.

As Ted brilliantly sums it: “The Internet should not operate at the speed of government.” Hopefully with a Republican congress it won’t. At least for a while longer. Until the inevitable tide of graft overwhelms the, ahem, principaled pols and their cronies at the FCC.

UPDATE:  “Net neutrality” and public-utility style regulation are about Internet freedom, just not the way advocates think….The threat to Internet freedom is government control. That means that if you care about liberty, you should oppose Net neutrality…”

The parachuting tank

That, supposedly, is the Army’s latest dream vehicle. The writer is too young, apparently to remember the aluminum M551 Sheridans. They were particularly vulnerable to RPGs:

From Wikipedia: “It became a common scene [in Vietnam by 1971] to observe melted Sheridan hulls with their sunken steel turrets sitting at odd angles with their gun tubes pointing towards the sky in various parts of the country, either awaiting final disposition, or simply forgotten.”

But first, in late 1968, the Sheridan joined our Sixth Armored Cav collection of rag-tag tanks and APCs. It wasn’t parachuted in. It wasn’t so good at that, either.

The lies the news media tells you

Our political erosion might not be so bad if it wasn’t seconded (and sometimes led) by what passes for journalism these days. Forbes calls it the Media Intifada:

“*** The arithmetic of civilian casualties in Gaza is one of the principal media crimes in this war.  It became obvious weeks ago that major Western journalists routinely swallowed the huge civilian-casualty figures dished out to them by Gaza’s Ministry of Health, a bureaucratic arm of a terrorist group that was shown to have lied about such figures in past wars.  In some cases, reporters cite numbers instead from the United Nations, which gets its numbers from—surprise—the Hamas ministry, a dubious source of information, akin to relying on the Reich Health Office for German civilian-casualty statistics during World War II.  On many occasions, major American news outlets haven’t bothered to even attribute the numbers to either the ministry or the UN—simply reporting as fact that ‘most,’ or ‘the majority’ or the ‘vast majority’ of casualties in Gaza are civilians.”

And there’s much, much more. No wonder there are so many anti-Israel protesters and growing anti-Semitism. Relying on American and British newspapers and television they see the wicked Jews bombing Gaza while the pitiful Palestinians fight back with inaccurate rockets and the occasional precision mortar, never even realizing that the Palestinians started it all in the first place, just like they always do.

Thanks New York Times, The Washington Compost, CNN, BBC, and all the lazy little media sheep that follow them around saying ba, ba, ba.

UPDATE: Matti Friedman, a former Associated Press reporter/editor in Jerusalem tells all. The news media gets the story wrong because they intend to get it wrong. It’s their narrative: Israel bad, Palestinians good.

“Many of the people deciding what you will read and see from [Israel] view their role not as explanatory but as political,” Friedman writes. “Coverage is a weapon to be placed at the disposal of the side they like.”

Reminds me of an editor I once worked for who visited Israel not so long ago. He didn’t spend much time in Israel proper. He spent most of it in Ramallah, as a guest of the side he likes.

You can be sure Friedman’s former colleagues and their bosses will deny it all, but as a recovering journalist I can assure you her his analysis of the way the biz works is impeccable: The bigs decide what’s news, reporters follow orders to the letter or are replaced with ones who will. Easy-peasy.

MORE: Meanwhile, in Utah, a white teen is shot to death by a black cop.   Ferguson in different colors. Rioting? MSNBC, CNN, DOJ, Rev. Al converge? NYTimes editorializes? The president speaks? None of that. And you’re not one bit surprised, are you?
