Capitol Invasion Not The First

At least six other times have people invaded the so-called People’s House. It’s really the home of the monied elite, many crooks, and enough contradictory politics to gag a goose. But the current invaders, including Antifa, aren’t likely to come out ahead this time either. Kruiser at PJMedia has the usual funny take: Media finally finds a mob it doesn’t like. These perpetually lying and exaggerating enemies of the people are the real problem.

My former fiddle teacher, James Anderson, is a new father. Good luck, dad!

AF vet killed in Capitol by cop(s)

Or was she murdered for protesting? More likely. Sez here she was shot in the chest but a witness who was standing beside her and got her blood on his hand, said she was shot in the neck. She died at a DC hospital.

UPDATE: She was unarmed and no danger to anyone, including the Capitol Police rent-a-cop who shot her. But few care because she was a Trump supporter. Yeah, that’s a good reason to kill her.

Stormin’ the Capitol

Unlike various talking heads, you know the usual suspects of the Fake News, I’m happy to see the storming of the Capitol, the lockdown, and escorting the pols out. Nobody’s been shot, nobody’s dead, just a vivid illustration of how you can’t steal a presidential election without protests. The debates inside over objections to Arizona’s election, were interesting, but will ultimately be futile. Not so the protests. They energize.

UPDATE: For all they huff and puff about law and order, these are the clowns who gave $600 Stimulus checks to working people who have lost their homes, their businesses, their minds after months of lockdowns and fear-mongering. It was all predictable and, naturally, the pols weren’t prepared. They never are. Too busy pocketing the lobby’s money.

MORE: One woman “who was shot” inside the Capitol has died. No details on who shot her or why.

MORE: A witness says the police shot her. Figures.

AND…A Capitol cop dies from injuries when someone threw a fire extinguisher at him. Just want to make sure to be fair. The other four deaths of protestors were from medical emergencies apparently unrelated to what was going on.

.22 for self-defense

I started liking a .22 LR for self-defense after training with an auto one. So much easier to hit the target where you want the round to go than even with a .38, much less a high-recoil .45. Only real problem is the rimfire ammo misfiring. So maybe I need a .22 revolver for ease of resolving a misfire. What do you know, I may even be part of a trend!

Auld Lang Syne

Our thanks to the resident here at the canyon who, around midnight last night, amid the usual bottle rockets and roman candles, played Auld Lang Syne on a trumpet. He (or she?) also plays taps on Memorial Day. Sweet notes drifting through the trees. A healthy year to all!
