Go get ’em, Ted

“’To those listening, please, don’t stay home in November,’ he said. ‘Stand, and speak, and vote your conscience, vote for candidates up and down the ticket who you trust to defend our freedom and to be faithful to the Constitution.’

“At this, the crowd stirred in discontent. Heckling broke out in some quarters. Boos could be heard behind the applause. Cruz was unfazed. As he closed, the volume in the stadium kept rising, equal parts applause and booing. Some were aghast, others elated as it dawned on everyone that Cruz was going to finish without endorsing Trump, and that he had appealed to the delegates and voters at home to ‘vote your conscience.’

“Then Cruz smiled, waved, and walked off the stage. He knew exactly what he was doing.”

Cool, Ted. Maybe it’ll help down the line. But I’ll still vote for Trump, because the alternative would be so much worse.

No Lives Matter

“The Black Lives Matter movement, through its rhetoric and actions, presents a worldview in which no lives matter.” Black Lies Matter, in other words.

Just like ISIS, they’re even destroying history. And our witless president loves ’em. What a stooge. Pack it up, Barry. Move out. Leave us at last, please.

Another Day, Another Allahu Akbar

“The interior of the train was soaked in blood. . . . One thing is certain, he wasn’t kidnapped in Afghanistan and dragooned around the world to Germany. He came voluntarily, and either was a terrorist-in-waiting all the while, or else was radicalized by traumatic exposure to Western culture. The public policy issue implicated by such attacks is, of course, immigration.”

Nineteen wounded, three critically. Meanwhile, our little Barry Hussein is bringing them here by the planeload. Diversity, when it means more Muslims, is not our strength.

The Hildabeast would double down. We need Trump or we’re doomed.

Barry’s chickens are flying home to roost

Three more dead police and a fourth one in critical condition in Baton Rouge.

And our little Barry Hussein disingenuously wringing his hands. Lecturing us all to stop killing police. But we aren’t all killing police. Just his racial brethren. The latest one a former Marine and National of Islam member who railed against “crackers” on YouTube. He said the Dallas police murders were “justice.”

Our little Barry Hussein’s “nuanced” equivalences between thug behavior and police response for the past 7.5 years has finally brought us to this pass reminiscent, as Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal puts it “of a third world country.”

Barry’s chickens are home to roost. With no small help from the Democrat snooze media, of course, which will now launch into its own lecturing. Without mentioning race, of course. Race only enters their picture when blacks are victims. Well, other than Montrell Jackson, the black cop in Baton Rouge who was murdered this morning. Wonder how they’ll twist that one.

If this keeps up, and I see no reason why it won’t, with Black Lies Matter still blocking highways and the usual race-baiters like Barry’s pal Al Sharpton in full cry, Trump is going to win in a landslide that makes Nixon’s triumph in 1972 look puny.

Not that that would be a bad thing (anything is better than eight years of the Hildabeast and more Democrat-inspired racial animosity and an awful economy) but the police body count could become a little extreme. It’s already at eight, with nine likely soon.

And you’ll need to be sure to remember to keep both hands on top of the wheel when stopped by police on the highway. They are bound to be touchy.

Ban Air Conditioning in Federal Buildings

What a, uh, cool idea. Idea being that the feds got so big and so out-of-control because of air conditioning. If those mausoleum-style office buildings of theirs were sweat factories, there’s be a whole lot less interest in occupying them.

Besides, eliminating air-conditioning (or making it so expensive that it effectively eliminates it) is what Wormtongue’s administration is after with its bans on coal and oil for producing electricity. All in the name of combating dubious climate change. The Democrat wing of the ruling class should set a good example for the rest of us. Believe it when you see it? Me too.

UPDATE:  Instead, Lurch wants to ban our air-conditioning. Of course he does. A threat to the planet, doncha know. Not his, you understand. Not the air conditioners of the ruling class. Oh, no. Just ours.

Dronekiller Q. Penandphone

A new name for our little Barry Hussein, in case you’re tired of me using olBH. Although I still like Wormtongue best because it fits the lying, dividing, halfrican scamp so well.

Monte Verde’s Central Texas cousin

Monte Verde in Chile caused an earthquake in modern archaeology. The site is an ancient (Paleoindian) small camp of about 30 people, just about 30 miles inland of the Pacific Ocean. It has produced stone tool artifacts that reliably date a millennium before the accepted 11,500 13,000-years-old first establishment of human occupation of the Americas. Some Monte Verde artifacts could be as old as 33,000 years.

The Gault Site, about 20 miles northwest of Georgetown in Central Texas, and about 250 driving miles inland of the Gulf of Mexico, was a larger and apparently more permanent Paleoindian site. It has yielded many tools and other artifacts that make it a close cousin to Monte Verde. A few artifacts have been found to be 15,000 years old.

Tours are your best bet since the Gault is on secured private property administered by Texas State University. Archaeologist Mike Collins, formerly of the University of Texas, is the boss and he generally conducts the infrequent tours that run $10 a person to help pay for the scientific work at the Gault Site.
