Same guns, different owners

“Given the same ubiquity of guns, wouldn’t the most productive question be what, if anything, has changed since the 1960s and ’70s? Of course it would. And a great deal has changed. America is much more ethnically diverse, much less religious. Boys have far fewer male role models in their lives. Fewer men marry, and normal boy behavior is largely held in contempt by their feminist teachers, principals and therapists. Do any or all of those factors matter more than the availability of guns?”

And although the Virginia Beach killer was a black man, most of the killers have been and continue to be white men. There’s a question right there.

MLK’s turn in the barrel

We knew of MLK’s infidelities back in the 70s. We didn’t know the half of it.

“A huge archive of documents recently released from Federal Bureau of Investigation files exposes in detail King’s extramarital sexual activities with dozens of women as he traveled the country campaigning against racial inequality…

“Another FBI summary identifies a long-term Los Angeles-based girlfriend of King who was said to have given birth to a baby girl. “The child resembles King to a great degree and King contributes to the support of this child,” the summary says. Both mother and child are still alive but declined to speak…”

Of course, to take all this at face value, you have to trust Fart, Barf & Itch. And who trusts them anymore?

Bad deals

While Dims prattle on about the Green “New Deal,” they’re conveniently forgetting a UCLA study that found the old New Deal prolonged the Great Depression by almost a decade.

“The downturn of 1937-38 was preceded by large [federally-mandated] wage hikes that pushed wages well above their NIRA levels, following the Supreme Court’s 1937 decision that upheld the constitutionality of the National Labor Relations Act. These wage hikes led to further job loss, particularly in manufacturing…Our research indicates that New Deal labor and industrial policies prolonged the Depression by seven years.”

An enacted Green New Deal is likely to start one. Not that the Dims or their stenographers in the media care, so long as the graft is good.

If there were a draft…

“Later this year, someone born after 9/11/2001 will be old enough to serve in Afghanistan.” —Stephan Green at Instapundit.

Game of Thrones finale

I liked it. Some may not. But I did.

It was a tragic ending for Daenerys, and for Jon (Aegon), but seemed to be the right one. He wound up more or less replacing Maester Aemon on the Night’s Watch. The end of the Targaryens.

The elevation of Bran was a bit of a surprise, but really shouldn’t have been. Why else come all that way, as he flippantly put it.

And, no, I’m not going to explain any of this.

Jew hate increasing

“So here is the near future: Every time the New York Times runs another anti-Semitic cartoon (and it will), each time a left-wing member of Congress questions the patriotism or morality of American Jews (and one will), and on every occasion Jewish students are harassed on campus (and they will be), we go another mile down the road to the well-known historical disaster that is looming ahead.”

Except this time Jews will not be disarmed. The sheep dogs among us will be carrying, while the sheep prattle on about love-thy-neighbor.

The Left ain’t kidding

“Leftism has long had two major characteristics (among others): leftist movements tend to be rabidly anti-religion as well as deeply desirous of total control over people’s lives and thoughts. These two things are not unrelated, because in a sense the left wants to replace religiousness with its own brand of fundamentalism.”

But don’t delude yourself that all Jews are leftists. Here in Texas Jews are arming, taking range practice and carrying concealed. Like the good guy with a gun in Poway, CA. Nothing says ‘Never Again’ like an armed Jew.
