Climate scam’s history

“Environmentalists subscribe to continually changing prophecies of apocalyptic disaster: Our topsoil is being washed into the ocean (The Road to Survival — 1948), extermination of birds with (The Silent Spring — 1962), overpopulation will result in starvation (The Population Bomb — 1968), we will run out of resources and strangle on pollution (The Limits to Growth — 1972). A new man-made ice age will have a permanent glaciers be down to the Dakotas by the year 2000 (Science — 1975). Acid rain from burning coal will destroy our forests and crops (circa 1985). Hairspray will destroy the ozone layer and cause cancer (early 1980s). Rising sea levels will drown NY City and Miami (1989- present), Burning fossil fuels adds CO2 to the atmosphere that will cause disastrous global warming (1988-2015). These prophecies and many others were claimed to be scientifically justified but ended up just another scam for the con artist trying to make a quick buck so we can add climate change to the list.”

No illegal voters for NYC

“Today’s decision [by the New York State Supremes] validates those of us who can read the plain English words of our state constitution and state statutes: Noncitizen voting in New York is illegal, and shame on those who thought they could skirt the law for political gain,” City Council minority leader Joseph Borelli said in a statement. “Opposition to this measure was bipartisan and cut across countless neighborhood and ethnic lines, yet progressives chose to ignore both our constitution and public sentiment in order to suit their aims. I commend the court in recognizing reality and reminding New York’s professional protestor class that the rule of law matters.”

Hopefully, California’s Supremes will find the same way, if they get the chance.

My take on abortion

I think it should be available with a 10-14 week cutoff or to save the life of the mother-to-be. But the widespread use with few or no restrictions, under Roe v Wade, was depressing, especially after the revelations of Planned Parenthood selling baby body parts.

(Fetus, it’s a fetus. And tissue.)

And now, shortly after the Supremes aborted Roe, PP is going out of business, altogether, despite assurances that abortion was only three percent of their business and women’s health the other 97 percent. I never believed that was true. But it may have been that the 3 percent (or whatever percent was true) enabled their body part business, which brought in the most money.

Abortion will undoubtedly still be a business in California, New York and other blue states, with probably few restrictions, while Texas and other red states reverse the country’s dwindling birth rate and possibly even take it back to where it was not so long ago. Well, before the almost fifty years of Roe.

Roe v Wade aborted

The Supremes did as expected and removed federal sanction of abortion, but not making it illegal only turning the issue back to the states. Some, like California and New York, probably will continue the practice. Others, probably like Texas, will make it illegal.

UPDATE: Abortion will be illegal in Texas in thirty days, pursuant to a “trigger law” passed in June, 2021.

Abortion will still be legal

Even if Roe v Wade is overturned, as the leaked draft opinion is expected to do if it becomes real, abortion won’t become illegal. That will be up to the individual states, where prior to Roe, most held abortion to be illegal, but none do any more. Some states, like California and New York, will make it more explicitly legal. Some, like, say, Wyoming, may make it illegal. I doubt Texas will make it illegal, just keep the existing law which makes it legal up to about six weeks of pregnancy. Which the pro-choicers oppose and already are suing to increase. Frankly, I’m sick of the whole issue.

Loved one in Shoal Creek

Our loved one, who shall remain anonymous, was booked into Austin’s private psychiatric hospital at Shoal Creek last night. They’re on suicide watch, after having attempted it twice with overdoses of pills. More to come.
