Unexpectedly!
Would be amusing if it were not indicative of how deep in Barry’s bag most of the news media is that any new, unpleasant news about our failing economy almost always gets the modifer “unexpectedly.”
Instapundit has been pointing out this trend in news reporting for several years now. If you haven’t noticed it, be sure to look for it. If Barry (g-d forbid) wins re-election you’ll be seeing a lot more of it, I’m sure.
And if Romney wins? Heh. “Unexpectedly” probably will become “expected.”

Scandals, he’s got scandals, he’s got lots and lots…
Obozo’s Benghazi coverup is just the latest in a string of scandals this clown has produced in four years in the White House. But, hey, he be black, hunny.
Yep, that’s all it takes in dumbed-down America. Aided and abetted by the alphabet teevee news and big city dailies. They don’t care. He be black, hunny.
All these people want to know is the color of your skin or whether your name ends in a vowel. And why not? They’ve got jobs. They’ve got the big bucks. They can afford the new Democrat taxes coming down the pipeline, the higher gas prices, the soaring electric bills. They don’t care about you, whitey.
Just like Obozo and Hillary, the Dems’ woman-and-minority act, hung a threatened Ambassador Stevens out to dry in Benghazi. He was just another white guy. No big whoop.

The stupid party is still stupid
Incredibly, Mittens is losing the tax debate. The first of many of Obozo’s tax increases will begin in January, but somehow Mittens has yet to mention it.
“So far this year’s tax debate features one candidate with no credible plan running against a fake plan that his allies made up and another candidate with an admirable plan that for some reason he doesn’t want to talk about. Mr. Obama is winning by default, but that doesn’t mean Mr. Romney can’t execute one of those turnarounds he’s famous for, if he tries.”
If he tries. Sarah, please, give Mittens one your balls so he’ll have two.
UPDATE: Post-debate: She obviously did and the stupid party was redeemed. Romney chewed through adolescent Barry like a chainsaw. It was Godzilla versus Bambi. Stomp.

AMAC president: Vote Romney
I was torn, once upon a time, about whether I should be become a member of AARP. One of my nieces is married to a young lefty who works for them, so I wondered. Then I began to read of their involvement with Barry, especially being in cahoots with him on Obamacare. So I forgot about it.
Now comes a new and so far smaller rival, AMAC, the Association of Mature American Citizens (nice title, that), whose conservative approach is much more to my liking. Especially now that I see their founder and president Dan Weber, saying he, for one, will vote for Romney/Ryan, both to save Medicare and protect Social Security from the Democrats’ rising tide of European-style entitlements.
After all, as Weber says, neither program was intended to be an entitlement, though today the Democrat news media lumps them in with welfare and the Democrats are enhancing the image by enrolling millions of young people in a Social Security disability program. One of Mrs. C.’s young nieces is married to a fellow who is on that particular dole.
Medicare, originally, was “a health insurance policy for which eligible older Americans have paid real premiums all the working days of their lives,” Weber says. Indeed.
And Social Security, likewise, “is a type of self-funded retirement program in which we have invested our own money, deducted every payday from our salaries and wages.” Exactly.
“I, for one,” Weber continues, “will opt for reform over Obamacare. Its official name is the Affordable Care Act, but it is not affordable and it was crafted in secret to diminish the value [of] our paid up Medicare policies to pay for free-for-all entitlements.
“I also choose sensible changes to the way our children and grandchildren pay for and receive Social Security. Specifically, in this day and age when people are living longer and working longer, it is not an onerous modification to up the age of eligibility; nor is it a radical notion to allow those who pay into the Social Security fund to opt for an independent Social Security IRA that lets citizens set up their own supplementary retirement accounts.”
Makes sense to me and, so, I have joined AMAC and, because AARP is larger (so far) will have to hope for the best from American seniors who (unlike the feckless young who voted for Barry in ’08, and now have only unemployment to show for it) are guaranteed to vote on election day.
UPDATE: Hey, AARP, you own Obamacare. Obama himself said you backed it. In fact, “According to a 2011 House Ways and Means Committee report, AARP stands to make between $55 million and $166 million from Obamacare in 2014 alone.” Through its sales of Medigap insurance. Heh.

Obama’s 2007 speech
I’m not really inclined to get riled over something Obozo said five years ago, anymore than I get upset when the Democrat media dredges up some tidbit of years past trying to make a Republican candidate look bad: Gov. Perry’s rock episode, for instance, or Gov. Romney’s alleged belligerence to some girl in (wait for it) high school.
But I have to admit it’s very amusing watching Obumbles’ court media (which is most of it, from the alphabet teevee outlets to the big-city dailies) fall all over themselves trying to justify their having swept the 2007 speech lionizing Rev. Wright under the campaign rug. Now that it’s emerged despite their best efforts, they’re trying to sweep it under the White House rug, you might say.
Of course they’re his puppets, who could miss it? But it’s really a pleasure watching them prove it. Instapundit has a nice summary in case you care. Me, I wasn’t going to vote for Barack Hussein Obama, anyhow. Not because he’s a closet-racist, but because he’s a thief, and a liar and an accessory to murder. Things he’s spent the past four years doing. His, uh, presidential record, as it were. I don’t want to see him embarrassed. I want him impeached.
UPDATE: Roger L. Simon, a onetime civil rights marcher, nails it:
“Indeed, our president is the reverse of what he appears to be, pretending to bring the races together when he profits by driving them apart. In that sense, he is similar to Yasser Arafat, talking one way to the West and another to his Palestinian brothers.”
