The 160 children Hamas killed

One hundred sixty of them died, according to a 2012 study by the Institute for Palestinian Studies, as forced labor—child labor—in building the attack tunnels Israel is now trying to find and destroy.

“The author, Nicolas Pelham, explains that Hamas uses child laborers to build their terror tunnels because, ‘much as in Victorian coal mines, they are prized for their nimble bodies’. Human rights groups operating in Gaza raised concerns about child labor in the tunnels as far back as 2008. Hamas responded by saying it was ‘considering curbs.’”

Much as it is now “considering” a ceasefire which never seems to arrive or stay for long. While Hamas policy once again forces Palestinian children to face death.

When are we going to hear the White House and the UN call that “horrifying” and “criminal”? Ever?

Can we finally rid ourselves of this hypocritical phrase that only still works in patriarchal Muslim societies that oppress women and dote on their diminishingly few children.

Hamas uses it as a propaganda tool, while sending out children in bomb vests to kill Israeli soldiers and employing women as snipers. And the leftist news media happily buys it.

Women, certainly Western women, are long past the fragile flower stage. They no longer need special protection and certainly don’t deserve to be first in any lifeboat. Children under 13, of course, need special care, although Hamas, and other jihadi groups start recruiting them as soon as they can walk and talk.

Another “Kill the Jews” Weekend

“Shiites and Sunnis temporarily put aside their blood feuds and entire families of Syrian Alawites and Turkish Sunnis stand in London or Berlin screaming ‘Death to the Jews’.

“Joining them are elderly Trotskyists and aging Stalinists, normally as mutually hostile as Shiites and Sunnis, who put aside their differences to feebly wave cardboard signs about the Zionist war machine.

“Fake blood is everywhere. Aspiring art students who can’t draw try to figure out new ways of intersecting a Swastika and a Star of David. Latuff cartoons are printed out along with bloody photos  of dead people from Syria, Hollywood horror movies and on the rare occasion, Gaza, and shoved in everyone’s faces.”

Read it all. It’s, you know, the stuff you won’t see in the Snooze Media today and tomorrow. Which will pride itself on “playing it straight”, i.e. without the truth.

Which, somehow, also threatens to defund Lois Lerner’s pension so long as she remains in contempt of Congress. My, my. The GOP is growing a backbone.

No hope, no change

Unpainted iron break tables at the entrance to the U.S. Department of Education in D.C. Just one example of bureaucracy’s ugly presentation (see The 7 Ugliest Government Buildings in Washington) so don’t miss the other highlights: mildewed concrete facades everywhere, weeds growing through walkways and storm drains, and struggling grass, plants and trees in the miles of cement.

Lots and lots of mildewing, water-stained concrete. A Soviet paradise. Socialism in the raw. You can’t make this stuff up. G-d bless the Internet. This is the kind of truth of where Obamalot’s billions of tax money aren’t going that you would never have gotten from the old news media.
