Like the snow?

The flying flurries on this here blog, I mean, a little something WordPress offers every winter season. And the closest Central Texas is likely to get to real snow anytime soon. Although it sure as hell has been cold the last few days.

We can thank the local Woolly Bear caterpillar, according to KXAN, which is predicting a cold winter. Fortunately things should be warming up over Xmas and into next week, at least for a while—good thing for Mr. Boy as he is off to Scout camp for a week in nearby Bastrop on the 26th.

Trump and the drone

I had to laugh when Trump told the Chinese Reds to keep the drone they stole. James Hays, a commenter at WSJ, has it just right:

“Knowing the underwater drone was of small value as a prize, Mr Trump’s response to the Chinese seemed just right. And unexpected. No groveling, no negotiating, no public saber-rattling.

“China seemed to want to appear magnanimous in its offer to return the drone. Rather than accept the Chinese offer, Mr Trump turned it down and told them to keep it. I would wager the Chinese didn’t see that one coming.

“Welcome to the Revolution, Mr Xi.”

Her popular vote win was all from California

“…a bitter election in which Trump lost the popular vote to Democrat Hillary Clinton by a margin of nearly 3  million votes…”

And all 3 million came from California. Outside of California she lost the popular vote to Trump by 1.4 million.

So, without the electoral college meeting Monday to certify Trump’s 302 winning votes (or with a few defecting as near to 302 as never mind), we’d be ruled for the next four years by the Hildafelon and California—and who knows how many illegals, felons and the dead who “voted” there.

UPDATE:  Commenter Srlucado at Instapundit: “Trump should make Clinton a deal: A recount in California. If every vote is legitimate, he’ll let her take office. But if even 100 votes are by illegals, ineligibles, or the dead, she goes to prison for the rest of her life.” Lol!

The suicidal American left

More from the Z Man (after thanking JD for cluing me in to this guy) on the perils of the Dim attempt to change the electoral vote:

“The truth is, the Left in America is a cult, a suicide cult, that seeks to pull down the support beams of society so the roof collapses on all of us.”

They want a civil war, it seems, which is typically thoughtless of them since about 99 percent of them are unarmed. A “velvet revolution” maybe? Not here, not now. More like blood in the streets of Washington, D.C. and certain cities in California. We won’t fight each other and we know where they live.

“The absurdity of the Russian hacking claims should be enough to put this story to bed long ago, but the media is run by the Cult so they are pumping air into this story every day….The Clinton people were desperate to get their scandals out of the news so they made up the Russian hacking stuff…the public does notice that the people in charge are unwilling to abide by their own rules. To some degree, that is why Trump won the election.”

That’s what “drain the swamp” was all about. Even taking a few truckloads of the Ruling Class’s piss and poop out of it will be salutary for the rest of us. I’m betting, for instance, that our good governor Rick Perry is going to be turning out the lights at the Department of Energy. Ms. DeVos may do the same at the Department of Education. Hence the Cult’s frantic effort to overturn the rule of election law, as they already did with law enforcement at the DOJ and the FBI to save the Hildabitch’s fat butt.

“The number one duty of every ruling elite is to maintain public support of the system that props up the ruling elite. Progressive attempts to kick the legs out from under the system could eventually work. The fact that they will be the first ones sent to the gallows does not seem to bother them. In fact, they probably long for it.”

Indeed, that’s what cults do. They long to follow a Jim Jones and drink the Kool Aid. Good luck, suckers!

Pop ups are getting out of hand

Like the Z Man says, the Web is becoming unreadable. Even the pop up blocker doesn’t work often enough to stop the onslaught of first one and then another, and then three more.

“Of course, it is not just ads or pop-ups. The proliferation of scripting has made many sites unreadable on a phone or tablet, unless you use something like ghostery. The Washington Times is a perfect example. It is more ad than content and the scripts never seem to load properly, so the site looks like a Picasso painting most of the time. I stopped going to the site entirely as it took too much effort to make it work. If I have to redesign my web browser to look at your site, I’m probably not going to bother visiting your site.”

Indeed. Sure they need money to operate, especially the Times which is second fiddle to the WaPo in ad revenue. But it’s a tossup. Blizzard me with ads (and auto video and audio I didn’t ask for) and I won’t stick around or come back.

Because anti-scripting programs are just ridiculous. I downloaded ScriptBlock for Chrome but it interfered with my WordPress administrative programs for this site. Had to cancel SB just to write this. Good grief!

The Donald and The Rapper

kanyetrump5-640x480

If our predominant news media wasn’t so biased and so intent upon destroying Trump, we might have learned months ago that Trump and rapper Kayne West have been, as Trump said the other day “friends for a long time.”

It took Breitbart, the alleged racist, “white supremacist” alt-right news site to tell us that and more. More being that West, who previously told his fans he wanted to run for president in 2020 has, after seeing the Donald, postponed his plans to 2024. Indicating, obviously, that Trump told him he plans to run for a second term.
