And more random thoughts

Amazes me that anyone still takes the news media seriously. They don’t even take themselves seriously. Rolling Stone’s phony gang-rape story was based on the word of one, uncorroborated, source without any comment from the accused. None at all. When will the firings begin?

New York City’s illegal cigarette-salesman Eric Garner should not have resisted arrest but surely it wasn’t necessary to kill him for it. I have no use for the rioters but I have to agree with them that the system is seriously out of whack. Cops are killing people more often these days and many of their prosecutor-backers are persuading grand juries to do nothing about it.

As Ted Cruz has said, and Rand Paul has chimed in, it’s time to abolish the IRS.

Who will be the Republican nominee in 2016? Why Jeb, of course. It’s his turn. That’s the way the Stupid Party does business.  And creation of a third, Tea Party, will only pad the loss to the Democrats. Sixteen years of ’em. Whew.

There’s one consistent detail about the Democrats. A hundred years later, they are still trying to disarm black people. Only now they’re trying to do it to everyone else at the same time. Except their own elites, of course. They’ll always have guns. Or bodyguards with guns.

Few journalists are independent actors like the Rolling Stone “reporter” Sabrina Rubin Erdely. They do what their editors & publishers tell them and their editors & publishers are primarily interested in keeping the pols, the authorities and the advertisers happy. And, nowadays, keeping their own jobs. Erdely is an outlier. But, then, so is her editor. Are they still employed? Why?

Tell me why anyone would feel safe with a president who considers economic sanctions for Israel while fighting congressional attempts to renew sanctions on terrorism-supporting Iran? Sho’ loves him some jihadis, don’t he?

UPDATE:  The NYC grand jury’s failure to indict for trial the killer cop who murdered an unarmed black man for resisting arrest is a grave injustice that demands redress. Demands it, dammit. Get your heads out of your asses, people.

Still More Random Thoughts

Well, of course the climate warriors have a following. As long as it’s just rhetoric and someone else’s burden. Until they realize they’ll have to make do without a refrigerator, the biggest electricity draw in any abode, owned or rented, or else spend all their money on the electric bill to keep it running.

Ponzi schemes work great as long as everyone keeps paying. Gen-Y, or whatever they’re called this month, better get off their self-important behinds and get to work. I don’t want my checks to be late.

Just once, just once, I’d like to see a lengthy report in a leftist journal on the dark power of sororities.

We need fewer crooked lifetime experts and more enthusiastic honest amateurs. Can’t be that hard if Cuomo and Christy can do it. Not to mention Wormtongue.

Politics and crime are the media’s two favorite subjects because, basically, the information is free. At least from the pols who push, push, push it all the time. The cops are getting less cooperative these days. And more trigger happy.

The hyperregulatory state (shown by the 3, 415 new federal regulations issued before Thanksgiving) is excellent for the bureaucrats who do the regulating. So many opportunities for personal enrichment. Better known as graft.

Abolish the IRS: The dog ate their emails

The federal gestapo known as the IRS doesn’t bother to be honest anymore. They cover-up and dare anyone, including Congress, to do anything about it.

There needs to be an immediate investigation and forensic audit by Department of Justice as well as the Inspector General.”

Who, Eric Holder? Fart, Barf & Itch? Ha, ha. Not in ObamaLand. The law doesn’t apply to them and their cronies. And the Democrat media couldn’t care less.

UPDATE:  401 days since the IRS scandal and the official cover-up began. With the continuing cooperation of the Democrat news media: “The New York Times today devotes zero words to the story. Take a look at the front page here: Nothing.”

Abolish the IRS: Viewpoint discrimination

J Street, the lefty Jewish organization that is more anti- than pro-Israel, has a counterpart in Z Street, which is wholly supportive of the Jewish state. A policy which has drawn the attention of the American Gestapo, known to one and all as the IRS.

“Z Street sued the IRS in 2010, claiming viewpoint discrimination in the processing of its tax-exempt application. It alleged an IRS agent told the group the government applied an ‘Israel Special Policy,’ subjecting groups to greater scrutiny if their views on Israel were at odds with Obama administration views. In court papers, the IRS denies both that Z Street was told that and that such a policy exists.”

It ain’t just Wormtongue’s administration. The federal bureaucracy is largely of Democrat persuasion and the IRS follows suit. So if the largely leftist Democrat party doesn’t agree with your “viewpoint” you could suffer “discrimination” by the one federal agency all Americans fear.

Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz wants to abolish the IRS. He says its current political discrimination is part of a Democrat party effort to repeal (yes, repeal) the free speech rights of Americans by regulating when they may contribute money:  “If you can prohibit spending money, you can prohibit virtually any form of effective speech.”

Abolish the IRS, part 2

What with all the taking of the Fifth by IRS officials in testimony before Congress, including two who had to be subpoenaed because they wouldn’t appear voluntarily, Ed Morrissey wants to clean house.

“…the IRS, which has demonstrated that it cannot provide accountability for the great power it wields now, let alone the power it will wield as Obamacare comes into force [or, more likely, farce]….is too large, too intrusive, too costly, and too insular – which means that it’s a microcosm of all the problems we have long predicted about big government.”

He wants to scale it back, thereby limiting its potential for political abuse. But it would still remain almost 90 percent Democrat. And the alphabet snooze media and big newspapers would still cover for it a hundred percent of the time.

Which are the main two reasons why I’m with Ted Cruz in wanting the IRS to be abolished.

On courage

No point in getting your nose in a wrinkle over Wormtongue and his minions.

“Keep your powder dry, and let’s stick it to the incumbents at the election next year, Americans,” says Smitty at The Other McCain.

Indeed, voting (every chance you get) to turn out incumbents is the only term limits policy that really counts. And the only chance we have to get rid of some of these lyin’, stealin’, Constitution-violating bastards.

If we only succeed in replacing them with others of the same stripe, at least we limit the amount of time they have to get up to mischief. And voting Republican, by the way, is the only way to insure that the snooze media will do any part of its journalism job. They rarely scrutinize Democrats.

Abolish the IRS

What a concept. Flat-rate income taxes with a “form” on a post card. Ted Cruz’s delightful idea. Probably doomed to failure because of all the partisan Democrat bureaucrats who would lose their jobs.

Not to mention loss of the graft so many pols of both parties get backing tax favors for various lobbies. And, as we have been reminded of late, the agency’s usefulness as a Democrat weapon against political opponents, such as the Tea Party and pro-Israel charities that don’t toe Obama’s line. But what an idea, Ted, and after only five months in the Senate!

UPDATE:  The IRS is full of scoundrels whose usefulness to the people is nil.

MORE:  Here’s what the IRS is really about, helping the rest of us subsidize Obama’s brother in terrorist-state Sudan. Meanwhile, it’s being expanded to handle Obamacare. Watch how you vote if you want that operation in time to survive.

AND… Ted has a Web site now to promote abolition. Good luck, senator.
