Obamalot seems to really enjoy frightening seniors by threatening to withhold Social Security checks. They did it again Monday night, asserting that if the debt ceiling isn’t raised, why, those checks might not go out. Which is a lie.

The government is legally obligated to send out the checks and there’s no financial reason they can’t do it:

“In fact, according to the most recent Trustees Report to Congress, Social Security ran a $68.6 billion surplus during 2010. The trust funds’ holdings went up accordingly. Thus the Social Security trust funds held more assets at the end of 2010 than at the beginning.”

So, hey, Obamalot. Stop lying. And eat your own damn peas.

Negotiating with terrorists

Obamalot chose this July 4 weekend (of all times) to announce that it is (yet again) breaking with foreign policy tradition and negotiating with the Muslim Brotherhood, founders of Hamas.

Barry Rubin has repeatedly assured us (with evidence) that the Brotherhood is not a “moderate” organization as some would have it. Obamalot’s new move is not so unusual, you may say, since the White House already was negotiating with the terrorist Taliban on our exit from Afghanistan, and you would be right.

But we can also hope that they also are trying to finally bring home (recently promoted) Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl (above), of Hailey, Utah, who has been a prisoner of the Taliban for three years now.

“Most golfers, according to Western Pennsylvania Golf Association spokesman Jeff Rivard, play 20 or so rounds a year. The president has played more than 70 rounds in two years — amid a recession, three wars, a Mideast meltdown, and an economy not flourishing under his stimulus and bailout programs. . . . Simple things, such as Obama not receiving economic briefings for more than a month….”

All Obamalot wants to do is boogie—travel, play and par-tay on our dime.

Bibi’s “lecturing” of Obamalot provoked some of the administration’s pundit acolytes. But Bibi had been under the One’s guns for some time and must have felt a riposte was overdue.

“After one of his meetings with Netanyahu, Barack Obama simply told the prime minister that he was going upstairs to have dinner. You wouldn’t say that to an ordinary neighbor visiting in your home, without inviting him to join you.

“Obama knew that. Netanyahu knew that. It was a calculated insult. And the American public would have heard about it, if so much of the media didn’t have such a hear-no-evil, see-no-evil and speak-no-evil attitude in its coverage of Barack Obama.”

No white man can beat Obamalot

Bad as he is, and Barry-the-president (an adolescent who doesn’t do his homework) is baaad, no old white male Republican is going to beat him out of a second term. That’s my belief. And Shelby Steele deftly explains why:

“….anyone who runs against Mr. Obama will be seen through the filter of this racial impressionism, in which white skin is redundant and dark skin is fresh and exceptional. This is the new cultural charisma that the president has introduced into American politics.”

Steele thinks running against political correctness might do it. I don’t agree. I think the ONLY way to beat Barry, is for the GOP to nominate a woman.

So far, only Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann seem ready to run. Although whether either will is questionable. Condoleezza Rice could work but she doesn’t seem to want it. But it better be one of them because no white man has a chance. And four more years of our affirmative-action president could be devastating.
