The most common lie of the Vietnam wannabee

These weenies and scumbags, mostly Democrat politicians, university academics (uniformly Democrats), and white-haired streetcorner panhandlers, were mostly draft dodgers in the 60s and 70s who now crave special status in our pathetic victim culture.

So they cover themselves in the flag and pseudo-camo glory with bizarre tales of special operations, etc. And they come out of the woodwork like cockroaches on patriotic holidays like today’s Fourth of July.

They’ve done us immeasurable harm with their lies about their “service” and subsequent “remorse” and “rejection,” both mostly nonsense, though not entirely so for those of us who earned the label of Vietnam combat veteran.

The wannabees still outnumber us real Vietnam veterans by about 20 to 1, but they’re being exposed pretty regularly. Can you guess their most common lie? Find it here. Henceforth ye shall know them by their mendacity.

As they age and die off, I expect they’ll be replaced by Iraq and Afghanistan wannabees. Cockroaches multiple, you know.

Are Wendy and Kermit buds?

Fort Worth state senator Wendy Davis is the new champion of the Democrat news media for her filibuster-defeat of a bill that would require women in Texas to get abortions before the fetus/baby is five months old. That’s a problem?

Her effort to preserve the law allowing abortions up to seven months (when fetus/babies now could be helped to survive and mature) puts her in the company of Philadelphia, Pa., abortionist Kermit Gosnell, who was convicted of first-degree murder in the deaths of three late-term fetus/babies.

Journalist Kirsten Powers in the old Newsweak’s online Daily Beast properly denounces Davis as does the WSJ’s James Taranto.  The bill, which is expected to be reintroduced and passed in next week’s continuation of the special session called by Gov. Rick Perry, also requires abortion clinics to meet surgical standards above what Gosnell’s ghetto clinic offered.

Davis, fully supported by President Wormtongue,  is opposed to the new standards as well. It’s the Democrat “war on women” baloney, you see. Women have to be allowed to murder viable infants in order to feel free, it seems, and abortionists, unlike other doctors, are sacrosanct.

UPDATE:  There actually is a War on Boys, but the Democrat news media ignores it.

Abolish the IRS, part 2

What with all the taking of the Fifth by IRS officials in testimony before Congress, including two who had to be subpoenaed because they wouldn’t appear voluntarily, Ed Morrissey wants to clean house.

“…the IRS, which has demonstrated that it cannot provide accountability for the great power it wields now, let alone the power it will wield as Obamacare comes into force [or, more likely, farce]….is too large, too intrusive, too costly, and too insular – which means that it’s a microcosm of all the problems we have long predicted about big government.”

He wants to scale it back, thereby limiting its potential for political abuse. But it would still remain almost 90 percent Democrat. And the alphabet snooze media and big newspapers would still cover for it a hundred percent of the time.

Which are the main two reasons why I’m with Ted Cruz in wanting the IRS to be abolished.

Those Death Valley temps could be phony

…because the site of the official thermometer is not in accordance with NOAA’s own guidelines.

The guidelines state that such “temperature instruments should be 5 1/2 feet above a grassy surface 100 feet or more from a heat source and away from structures that can affect ventilation.”

Instead, in the federal agency’s own official photograph of the Death Valley thermometer, it appears to be sited on concrete (it obviously is not grass) and within a few feet of a building.

“And yet still the hype is turning into tripe about the 134 at Death Valley…The instrument can be accurate, but if the site is not maintained or the environment changes around it, its more than likely to read warmer!”

Of course it plays in really nicely with the federal hue and cry about global warming, i.e. climate change, i.e. we have to regulate CO2 (read, choke the economy by raising the price of electricity) to save the planet, etc. Which even some climate “scientists” ignore.

Zimmerman will walk, though a lot poorer

I don’t entirely agree with Bernie that the Zimmerman case shows that blacks are more racist than whites. More likely the blacks who are so inclined know they can show their bigotry without consequences whereas white bigots know better by now.

I prefer the analysis that the criminal case against George Zimmerman was a political setup from the get-go to increase black outrage and therefore their turnout in the 2012 presidential. It’s why Wormtongue did what few president have ever done, inserted himself into the case with his blather about Trayvon.

The prosecution’s case is so weak, it’s obvious Z. will be acquitted (albeit much poorer from all the legal fees he now owes) and then the usual black (and white) bigots can scream and yell and jump up and down on CNN and the other alphabets and the NYTimes and WaPo can wax indignant. So what else is new?

And if the black lower class decides to riot, they’ll do it in their own blighted neighborhoods, as they always do, because they don’t have the guts to take on white people who tend to be, ahem, armed to the teeth. Only the white (mostly Asian and Jewish) folks who have businesses in the ghetto will be harmed and some of them have licenses to carry and will fight back.

None of which seems to bother Wormtongue in the least. Cretin.

UPDATE:  Only one “swirlbaby” gets a pass from the snooze media which keeps referring to Wormtongue as African-American, though he is half white. Zimmerman has the opposite problem. They pin him to the white board, ignoring his half Hispanic background (and a black grandmother). Ain’t convenient for their racist narrative, you see. Got to keep the all blacks outraged or they might stray from the Democrat plantation.

The president is a “swirlbaby”

He’d know what that means even if you don’t. And if you’re not black you’d better not get caught saying it out loud, unless you want the race police to come after you.

Free at last, free at last…

For almost fifty years, the  electoral rules of Texas and seven other states have been chained to the federal government’s whim, particularly the Democrat Party’s whim, since the Democrat Party is the political party of a clear majority of the federal bureaucrats who make the rules.

The chains came off the other day with a Scotus ruling and the Democrats immediately cried foul, along with the usual race mongers who are still fighting Jim Crow decades after its wings came off, as they should have, and did. It’s just politically convenient for the Democrat Party to keep up the fiction that black and other minority rights are still at risk unless the feds control the rules. Cobb has a nice summary:

“Those states, Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, Texas and Virginia have essentially been on probation for fifty years. Now they can change their laws without special oversight from the Federal Government.

“It probably comes as no surprise that these are all ‘red’ states that voted for Romney in 2012. Well, Virginia was a ‘blue’ state. And similarly comes as no surprise that these [were] all slave states. No, wait, Alaska wasn’t a slave state, neither was Arizona. In fact, no black man was ever even lynched in Arizona. Hmm. Well let’s not get too specific in categorizing them – they were all highlighted as the most racist states hostile to blacks. But Arkansas and Massachussetts were not included. And wasn’t it Florida that was doing the voter disenfranchisement?

“If you see the inconsistency here, then you should understand the simple reason I don’t find a particularly foul odor emanating from the Supreme Court while plenty of folks I see are turning up their noses today.”

Texas Attorney General Gregg Abbott celebrated the decision by immediately imposing the voter i.d. requirement passed by the state legislature but overruled by the feds’ “justice” department. Why, yes, the very same Democrat “justice” department that’s been wiretapping the news media.

The Democrat Party is opposed to voter i.d., supposedly because it discriminates against minorities who are too lazy or too stupid to get a photo i.d. although a photo i.d. is required to get you into any federal building anywhere. And now Texas will issue free ones for the hopeless—if they can prove residency with a recent electric bill.
