One more excellant reason not to get arrested in Mexico for anything even remotely serious. Forty-two percent of Mexican prison inmates are legally innocent because they have never been sentenced, says Mark in Mexico.
“And the reason they’ve never been sentenced is usually because there is not enough evidence to convict them. So the prosecutors never call their cases. The inmates have no lawyers representing them to force the issue. So they are forgotten.”
So you have a lawyer, right? Good for you. Next up, bureaucratic entropy.
Mark, meanwhile, disappeared years ago. No one knows what happened to him. Mexico is such a mysterious place. Especially if you criticize the government.

“So how do liberals get their wish for a disarmed, subservient population? They don’t.”
Heh.

Never mind the climate lies from Paris and the White House, nor the warm December we’ve been having so far in Central Texas, the cold is coming. Boy, is it coming, according to WeatherBell Analytics forecaster Joe Bastardi:
Snow here would be a minor miracle. It happens occasionally but only just. But in so generally warm a climate, a bitter cold and wet month (i.e. February) would be plenty impressive enough.

The headline is a modified steal from the Instapundit who has long chronicled the surprisingly increasing incidence of middle- and high school teachers, who are generally women, sexually abusing their students.
Now the problem is a growing Texas one, according to the state Senate Education Committee. The Texas Education Agency says the number of investigations of “inappropriate relationships” between teachers and students grew from 141 in 2009-10 to 188 in 2014-15. Long prison sentences may help.
And, strangely enough, it’s not just women teachers taking advantage of male students. They’re using the disappearing content feature of such apps as Snapchat and Kik to get sexually involved with female ones, too. Maybe it’s time for the Democrat party’s feminists to focus on the high school reality instead of their pretend rape problem involving only men at the country’s college and universities. Ya think?
There’s nothing like photos of the Obama-Kerry power luncheon with the other elites of the Dictator’s Club (aka the United Nations) to demonstrate how the so-called climate crisis is really about us giving them our tax and utility money to go on being elites who will tell us how to live.
“There is a consensus among the political elites of the world that we must act immediately to expand trans-national government power, diminish economic liberty through taxes and regulation, shut down the fossil fuel industry, and redistribute wealth globally; all things the left wanted to do anyway. What a happy accident that these are precisely the things that must be done in order to save the Earth from Global Warming.”
I know they’re not going to get it by a vote from us little people. They may have most of the atheistic science world in their pockets, but there aren’t enough of the gullible among the rest of us to put it over.
So I presume they’ll try to take it by force—controlling our lives by taking away the coal we need for electricity and the oil for gasoline. While their lifestyles stay the same or even improve. Then we’ll see just how long they keep their power, among other things.

Just days from the Jewish Chanukah, the Arabs who call themselves Palestinians are preparing to celebrate a modern miracle of their own, as they struggle to make their pretend democracy look real—lest the bundles of cash from their Western supporters should dwindle or, god forbid, stop altogether:
On Jan. 1, Mamoud Abbas, the so-called president of the Arabs who call themselves Palestinians, will begin the 11th year of his reign. Uh, make that the near-tripling of his first 4-year term of office. What Obama and Netanyahu may only dream about, Abbas does.
“So the legend is that there was only enough corruption, incitement and farce to last four years…” explained local historian Yoni K. as he looked for sufganyot and potatoes in the Shuk Ha Carmel. “But through a little luck and maybe even a miracle, his four year term has lasted ten years and counting!…”
Now that’s achievement. So what if the so-called president of the AWCTP is a little late in leaving office, or even in attracting a rival suicidal enough to oppose him. Stability. That’s the ticket, especially when you’re busy running a knifing intifada battle campaign. Stability. Yes ma’am.
