While the Hildabeast campaigns for ever more invasive gun laws, the Thumper, as I call Trump, is going to get himself elected with his take on the Second Amendment and a proposal for a national “right to carry” law.

“Furthermore, Trump proposed a national right to carry, a national concealed carry reciprocity law that would compel states to recognize the concealed carry permits of any other state, exactly as drivers licenses from anywhere are accepted by all states today.”

Hee. That ought to increase the number of Code Pink and Move On protesters at his future campaign appearances. Which will do him nothing but good among most voters.

Mr. B: Three .38 specials in the bull

The boy is getting downright deadly with our .38 police special revolver. Another good Sunday morning at Red’s indoor range in Pflugerville found both of us often hitting where we wanted the bullets to go.

Including his accuracy with the .38 which bucks so hard it hurts the pocket between my thumb and forefinger if I don’t grip it right. We wrapped up the day checking out one of the shop’s Henry lever-action .22 rifles. As Mr. B. says, we’re almost ready to move up to a long gun (well, he is) and the Henry appeals.

Though, personally, I prefer a hand gun.

America’s greatest gun salesman*

Our Barry Hussein made a big announcement today of nothing much new about gun control. It was a king’s decree, the kind presidents (particularly this one) like best ’cause they can skip the hard work of negotiating with Congress.

“Never mind that he couldn’t get a Democrat-controlled Congress to pass any of these proposals. Never mind that none of the mass shooters got their firearms from a gun show or the kind of casual seller that these regulations target. Just as the drunk looks for his lost keys under the streetlight because that’s where the light is, Obama focuses his energies where it is easiest.”

Energies? The former leader of the Choom Gang? That the courts may later overrule him is a chance Wormtongue is willing to take to make a piddling media splash. Then it’s back to another round of golf and the permanent vacation.

MORE: “Strike a pose, there’s nothing to it.” Not in our Barry Hussein’s case, there isn’t.

Hitting the black

Our last outing at Red’s indoor range in Pflugerville, Mr. B. put four .22 rounds in the black bull’s eye. Obviously improving on our semi-auto Ruger pistol.

Still has trouble with our double-action, Smith & Wesson .38 revolver and its bigger kick, but we’re working on it.
