Trump and the drone

I had to laugh when Trump told the Chinese Reds to keep the drone they stole. James Hays, a commenter at WSJ, has it just right:

“Knowing the underwater drone was of small value as a prize, Mr Trump’s response to the Chinese seemed just right. And unexpected. No groveling, no negotiating, no public saber-rattling.

“China seemed to want to appear magnanimous in its offer to return the drone. Rather than accept the Chinese offer, Mr Trump turned it down and told them to keep it. I would wager the Chinese didn’t see that one coming.

“Welcome to the Revolution, Mr Xi.”

More fake news

The WaPo (who else besides the NYslimes?) is whining about Trump’s retired generals—two in the cabinet and one as an adviser. Even pretending there has been independent (as opposed to WaPo generated) concern about a military dictatorship-in-the-making.

Such a selective memory, these Democrat lapdogs display when it’s convenient to their politics. In 2008, president-elect Obama likewise nominated three flag officers, two generals and an admiral. There was nary a peep of concern.

UPDATE:  Meanwhile, right on schedule, after eight years of downplaying homelessness because it might reflect on the lousy Democrat economy, guess what the Democrat lapdog media is suddenly concerned about? Yep.

Trump and China

Trump is right to talk to Taiwan. Whenever he chooses. On whatever grounds. Let China bitch. We have bowed down to them for too long—8 long years to be precise.

Our little Barry Hussein, the U.S.’s bower-in-chief, has all but prostrated himself before one tyrant after another. Our resident weakling.

“In April of 2010 at international meeting in Washington Obama bowed deeply (a submissive gesture) to Hu [Jintao].  [China’s paramount leader] Hu stood erect and stared at Obama ( sign of dominance),” recalled WSJ commenter Rick Williams.

Can you imagine Trump bowing to any foreign leader? Queen Elizabeth, you say? I wouldn’t bet on it.

F**king Barry’s Legacy

When our little Barry Hussein decided in 2010 that he couldn’t (or wouldn’t) negotiate with Congress, he announced that he had a pen-and-a-phone to get what he wanted by executive order. More than 300 of them went down at last count.

It’s going to be tre amusing to watch Trump erase them one by one while Barry’s acolytes moan and groan and march and scream. And while Barry, sans legacy, works at sabotaging Trump with all and sundry. Yes, amusing. I mean, let’s face it, if pols can’t be amusing, what good are they?

Merkel: Censor Internet to stop more Trumps

Curious that our little Barry Hussein’s proclaimed last European trip as president was to Germany where embattled chancellor Angela Merkel called for government control of the Internet which she implied was responsible for a “wave” of right-wing politics that “engulfs us.”

“Digitization is a disruptive technological force that brings about deep-seated change and transformation in society. Look at the history of the printing press, when this was invented what kind of consequences it had. Or industrialization, what consequences that had.”

Germany’s Zeit newspaper called for Web controls to prevent “a German Donald Trump.” Britain’s Independent published a list of “fake” news sites they claimed may have “swayed votes towards Donald Trump.” One of them was Breitbart News, which the Hagzilla, always in need of a new boogeyman to disguise her intentions, claimed during her losing presidential campaign is part of the “white supremicist” alt-right.

Biggest shale oil field in U.S.

permian-basin

The Permian Basin of West Texas has long been a rich “play” for crude oil and natural gas. Now it’s also the best in the country for shale oil deposits. And the discovery couldn’t come at a better time. President-elect Trump wants to make us energy independent and likely will back extensive use of the Permian. Hagzilla likely would have followed Barry Hussein’s pretend attack on carbon and thumbed her nose at shale while wasting more money on phony (i.e. intermittent power)  windmills and low-efficiency solar cells.

Why Felonia Should Not Be Pardoned

Certainly not by a President Trump, even though lame-duck President Obama probably will do it, by issuing a blanket one in advance, if such a thing exists* (see update below).

The Wall Street Journal, sadly, is editorializing for Trump to let bygones be bygones and pardon her for her felony violations of security laws and the felony violation of tax laws by her Clinton Foundation “charity.” The “charity” that, ahem, bought Chelsea’s $70,000 wedding dress.

It would be terrible if Trump did that, because it would mean going back on his word. His promise to have her investigated. Jailed, if he had any say about it, but he doesn’t. That’s up to a judge and jury. Not that all politicians don’t go back on their words, but he’s not a politician. And businessmen who go back on their words seldom stay in business for as long or as successfully as he has.

Plus he was elected, in no small part, because we deplorables are tired of the ruling class and the two systems of justice they have imposed: “a lenient, collegiate style for the ruling elites and a harsh expensive style for the masses of Americans,” as WSJ commenter Kelly Mcgrew puts it.

So, please, Donald, as you have done so well for so long, ignore the damn news media and keep your word. Dance with who brung ya.

UPDATE: After I wrote this I read a few analyses of President Ford’s preemptive pardon of President Nixon after he resigned. Nixon had then not been charged with anything, as Felonia likewise has not been yet. So it seems Obama can preemptively pardon her before he leaves office.
