Justifiable homicide in Shiner

Nice little town, Shiner, Texas. Home of the Shiner brewery. And now, unfortunately, on the news map for an incredible case of sexual assault on a 4-year-old girl.

For which her father, catching the pedophile in the act, dutifully beat the son of a bitch to death. If anyone will walk free for a killing, under Texas law on sexual assault of children, it will be this dad.

Texas: Economic engine of North America

“If you draw a triangle whose points are Houston, Dallas and San Antonio, enclosing Austin, you’ve just drawn a map of the economic and jobs engine of North America.

Texas prospers not just because of oil and gas, but thanks to a diversified and sophisticated economy. It has attracted large numbers of both immigrants and domestic migrants for a quarter-century. One in 12 Americans lives there.”

Rick Perry on the stump for Romney

“Three and a half years, nearly 100 rounds of golf. Barack Obama has exploded the debt in this country. He has passed a stimulus program that grew government and not the economy. He socialized health care and he armed Mexican drug cartels…Admit it America, 2008 was our national ‘oops’ moment.”

Rick’s always been at his best when his humor is self-deprecating.

The bad joke that is wind power

The sad truth is that industrial wind does not replace fossil-fueled electricity generators. It does not reduce emissions. It does not provide affordable, on-demand electricity.

“The relatively miniscule amount of electricity generated typically arrives when it’s not needed and cannot effectively be stored. Industrial wind, true to Ken Lay’s intent, is a profit center founded on favorable legislation, mandated renewable energy goals and funded by taxpayer subsidies.”

Not to mention that the West Texas windmills regularly kill eagles and many other birds, make a lot of noise for people who live near them, and shake themselves to pieces from lack of maintenance.

They haven’t replaced a single coal-fired power plant. They only work in Obamaloot’s speeches.

This is my idea of a firearm

Something new under the Texas sun

Now here’s one I aim to try: a light beer made with Texas Ruby Red grapefruit juice. It’s already being applauded by one hard-to-please critic down in San Antone.

UPDATE:  I tried a bottle. It tasted like, well, light beer mixed with grapefruit juice. Not bad. But not great either.

Disputed Purple Hearts

One of the reasons the Obamaloots are giving for a possible presidential veto of a new defense appropriations bill is that it awards Purple Hearts signifying woundings in action to the military victims of two Jihadi killings at Fort Hood and Little Rock, Arkansas in 2009.

“On June 1, 2009, Muslim convert Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad, who had spent time in Yemen and was an avowed jihadist, killed one soldier and wounded another in a drive-by shooting on a military recruiting office in Little Rock. He pleaded guilty to murder, avoiding trial and the death penalty, and was sentenced to life in prison.

“Nidal Malik Hasan, a U.S. Army major who had email communications with senior al-Qaeda recruiter and Yemen-based cleric Anwar al-Awlaki, awaits military trial for the Nov. 5, 2009, massacre at Fort Hood, Texas, in which 13 were killed and 29 wounded.

“After the Fort Hood shootings, the FBI quickly said there was no evidence of a greater terrorist plot at work, the Defense Department called it an “isolated” case, and Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said Hasan’s actions were not representative of his Muslim faith.”

Well, I’m sure that should make us all feel a lot better about it. Cretins.
